Pakatan is discovering the 100-days promise is not so easy after all

So, there are no ‘hidden secrets’. There are no ‘untold stories’. Everything was known long before December 2014 when Mahathir instructed Khairuddin Abu Hassan to lodge his police report against 1MDB. They had 1,300 days to prepare to take over the government and to plan what to do when they take over. And they promised within 100 days all these problems would be sorted out. And with Mahathir’s 22-years-experience as Prime Minister, does he still need time to learn the job?

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER

Raja Petra Kamarudin

Today we take over, tomorrow petrol prices will go down to RM1.50

You may have noticed that every single day Lim Kit Siang comes out with a statement on Najib Tun Razak, 1MDB, kleptocracy, and so on. Now he is demanding that Umno sack Najib from the party and he has issued a challenge as to who dares ‘bell the cat’.

Umno and Barisan Nasional have already lost GE14. Najib is no longer the Prime Minister. In fact, he is no longer even Umno’s President. MACC and the AGC are already preparing to arrest Najib so that he can be charged, tried, convicted and sent to jail. So why is Kit Siang still talking about Najib and 1MDB non-stop for the last 39 days?

The truth is, Kit Siang is playing a game of distraction. While Pakatan Harapan struggles to deliver its 100-days promises, Kit Siang distracts Malaysians with his constant statements on Najib, 1MDB, kleptocracy, etc., and his challenge for Umno to ‘bell the cat’. He hopes Malaysians will focus on Najib, 1MDB, kleptocracy, and much more and will not notice that it is already 39 days and Pakatan Harapan is not delivering its 100-days promises.

Kit Siang’s job is to distract Malaysians from the truth that Pakatan cannot deliver its 100-days promises

Maybe Pakatan has delivered one promise, which is they have abolished the 6% GST. Pakatan’s Minister of Barang Turun, Salahuddin Ayub, even announced that since 1st June 2018 the price of goods has been reduced up to 50%. The reality is nothing has come down, and certainly not by 50%. In fact, prices have increased. And in September, once the SST is implemented, wait for the prices to increase even higher (unless they announce a delay in the implementation of the SST, which may happen).

Now they are saying the country’s problem are far worse than they realised. They are saying they are discovering more/new scandals every day, which they did not realise earlier. They are saying 100 days may not be enough time after all. They are saying you cannot expect to have babies just 100 days after getting married.

These, of course, are lies. In 2015, they said they know what is happening and have all the details. Pakatan Harapan had many spies and agents in the government and even in the Cabinet itself who were revealing secrets not only to Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Tony Pua, Rafizi Ramli, but even to Clare Rewcastle Brown and bloggers/journalists all over the world.

Mahathir had his agents everywhere, even in the Cabinet, so there are no ‘hidden secrets’ or ‘untold stories’

But now they cannot do it because they made promises that they cannot keep. So they need Kit Siang to distract Malaysians with talk of Najib Tun Razak, 1MDB, kleptocracy, and so on, while they figure out what to do. And they also keep saying the country’s problem are far worse than they realised, they are discovering more/new scandals every day, 100 days may not be enough time after all, mainly to prepare Malaysians for the excuse they are going to give on 17th August 2018 as to why they have failed to deliver their promises.
