“Keep Lying Until People Believe Your Lie,” Former Chief Editor Reveals PKR’s Strategy

(MD) – In its 2010 June 22nd edition of Suara Keadilan, a front-page story entitled “Felda Bankrap” (Felda Going Bankrupt) screamed from the headlines.

Eight years later today, the Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) is still thriving while fresh attempts continue to be made to discredit it.

PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli who has just been convicted over his role in exposing the National Feedlot Corporation (NFC) banking details had even tried to bring Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak into the fray by stating that Felda should clarify whether Najib was responsible for granting full power of attorney to company who is at the center of the Jalan Semarak land controversy.

In both cases, Felda acted swiftly, as the Jalan Semarak land as now been safely returned to the federal authority’s control.

As for PKR calling Felda bankrupt, the reaction from Felda came just four days later in the form of a notice demanding RM200mil in damages and an apology from PKR over the report.

Apparently, unfounded allegations to gain political mileage appears to be the modus operandi of PKR as revealed by the former editor of its newsletter.

“For example, when I was chief editor of Suara Keadilan, PKR wanted the newsletter to print the headline ‘Felda Bankrap’ (Felda Going Bankrupt),” Datuk Seri Dzulkarnain Taib told UMNO Online.

“But I did not agree with that order from the party because the article did not have the proof and factual basis to allow such accusation to be made,” he added that the party leaders insisted that he went along with the headline.

Dzulkarnain went on to recount how his fears were confirmed when the moment the newsletter was published, he was summoned by the Home Ministry to explain the issue and a legal notice from Felda followed a few days letter threatening to sue.

The former chief editor points out that it was none other than PKR president Datuk Seri Wan Azizah who was quoted in the article written by a Suara Keadilan reporter named Rusnizam Mahat who also made references to remarks made by then Senator, Dr. Syed Husin Ali.

Seven years later, Wan Azizah, Dr Syed Husin and Rusnizam were later charged in court and asked to pay Felda RM2 million in damages in December last year.

“This is one example of the party’s basic strategy of putting out lies repeatedly to tarnish public opinion, confuse them until eventually they perceive the repeated allegation as truth,” Dzulkarnain revealed.

“This tactic is continued by the opposition today to lie and manipulate news to confuse the public. This will escalate as GE14 nears,” he anticipates about the opposition’s strategy in coming months.

Likening it to the Nazi tactic of poisoning its followers minds to perceive lies as the truth, he added how opposition supporters are being indoctrinated these manufactured lies much like the Nazi’s did in the early 20th century to garner support to carry out its hate agenda.

He points out evidence of this wholesale brainwashing taking place in the brazen lies being manufactured by opposition leaders today.

“That is why the opposition does not hesitate to cast baseless allegations at the ruling government because they are certain that their followers have been conditioned to support and propogate their lies to the public until people believe them as the truth,” he warned.

Felda has not been the only victim of the opposition’s lying game, as the aftermath of the NFC controversy proves while more recent attempts include the Employee Provident Fund (EPF) being dragged into fictitious development deal.
