Move aside, Nurul Izzah, Raja Sara is here

Raja Sara Petra

I was still in primary school in 1998 when the Reformasi Movement exploded onto the Malaysian scene and soon after that Nurul Izzah Anwar was crowned Puteri Reformasi. Since then the young and energetic puteri has transformed into an old and tired symbol of what should have been but will now never be.

Time can be an ally and can also be an enemy. In Nurul’s case it has become her enemy because time has revealed what she truly is, which is a fake reformist riding on the popular anti-Mahathir Tsunami to gain political mileage.

7th January 2018 will be remembered by history as the day the Reformasi Movement, born on 20th September 1998, was given an official burial. But just like the proverbial phoenix rising from the ashes, in its place will emerge the second generation reform movement.

So move aside, Nurul Izzah. You are a relic of the past and no longer relevant. You abdicated your throne when you buried the Reformasi Movement. And soon you will be buried alongside it. I, Raja Sara, have come to claim your throne as the new Princess of Reform.
