(Bernama) -- Parti Keadilan Rakyat adviser Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said Friday night Pakatan Rakyat (People's Alliance) now needed only 28 crossover members of parliament to form the government.

Pakatan Rakyat needed 30 MPs to do so but Anwar said with two Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) MPs supporting a motion of no confidence against the prime minister, the pact now needed only 28 MPs to switch sides.

"We want to congratulate Datuk Yong Teck Lee (SAPP President) and the two SAPP MPs," he said at a gathering in conjunction with the 100th day of Pakatan Rakyat's rule in Selangor attended by about 10,000 people at the Shah Alam Stadium.

He was confident that Pakatan Rakyat would be able to form the government, saying the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) was in disarray.

Pakatan Rakyat has 82 MPs while BN has 140.

Meanwhile, Anwar said Pakatan Rakyat would fight any motion to support further increase of fuel price, which he claimed would be tabled in the coming Dewan Rakyat sitting.

Don't talk cock that no money is involve, you Anwar should quit politic and keep your mouth shut, don't bring your dirty money politic back to PR.

Two MPs from SAPP are leaving...and that's three months after the General Election. Now PR needs another 28 MPs - i'm curious to find out if all 28 would leave by Sept 16.

By the way, there are rumours that another fuel hike is on the way. RUMOURS ok? - but then again... who knows? smilies/sad.gif

DSAI must be prudent to take in the 28 BN MPs as AAB now is desperately resort to the scare-crow tactics by charging those formerly eat the big feasts together with him in the family! Make sure their records are clean and that they will not be threatened by the ACA, the hit man of AAB administration! Make sure they are not the crows that they will be easily scared away by the scare-crows!...............

Or else, they will lose their entity and usefulness once they are charged with verdict of guilty in liability to PR! They will become burden of PR and can only help to tarnish the good reputation of PR instead! Must be cautious!

DSAI, don't count your chickens before they are hatched, is most apt here! SAPP never said they would join PKR and I think they meant that. Independent, YES! Join PKR, NO!
Yes, I know you are trying to lure other BN MPs to join PKR with your statement, but I still think it's not likely to happen. Youe best bet is a re-election now. Stick with Raja Petra's latest bombshell in implicating both the PM & DPM in that Mongolian murder trial. That would be your best bet for a new election to take place and, possibly, your ambition to be our PM of Malaysia.

Let nature takes its course. Looking at the bright side, we are able to gauge the reaction by the corrupted BN govt.

One important lesson learned is that BN wants to block the tabling of the motion on 'vote of no confidence' in the parliament. Secondly, another lesson learned is that BN is nervous to allow such motion to be tabled, using every reason available, as the position of the PM is under extreme threat.

The raayat including Rhan and Rainbowseahorse should support the motion to see whether the PM still has the support. That is very important in the first place before a disaster befall on our economy. Why are we reeled with suspicion on the possible bribes that may not even have changed hands

Rohani Hitam,
Did I say I do not support that motion by SAPP? I am just stating one of the facts that SAPP never said they are joining the PKR but, if kicked out of the BN, become independents.
If you read through my previous postings, I am all for kicking out Pak Lah..like yesteryears ago!
