Kuala Lumpur, 1st June 2008: Listening Post. Blogger Rocky at Dataran Merdeka after a talk on "Media Freedom" hosted by the National Press Club and the National Union of Journalists.

The event was jointly organised by media activists, including the Centre for Independent Journalism, Writers Alliance for Media Independence, National Alliance of Bloggers and BENAR.

Ironically, there were more journalists turning up on duty, rather than as participants in the event

I was there. I heard Zaid's speech. I was also present for the question & answer session. I felt ashamed to be in the midst of a Malaysian Minister who sounded more as a coward who couldn't answer like a man.
