An enforced "truce" is in place between Grand Saga Sdn Bhd and Bandar Mahkota Cheras residents over free access to the Cheras-Kajang

Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim told the Kajang Municipal Council to remove remnants of the barricade
Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim told the Kajang Municipal Council to remove remnants of the barricade

One day after police urged Grand Saga not to put up barricade, Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim summoned the Kajang Municipal Council to completely remove the remnants of the barricade.

Abdul Khalid, who visited the site yesterday, also urged Grand Saga and Bandar Mahkota Cheras developer Narajaya Sdn Bhd to solve the impasse, saying residents should not be victimised in their dispute.

Residents claimed they were promised free access to the highway by Narajaya but Grand Saga said they were never a party to such an arrangement. A court case is now pending.

Abdul Khalid said a letter had also been sent to Works Minister Datuk Mohd Zin Mohamed, requesting him to look into the problem.

"We hope all parties will be patient and try to solve the problem amicably.

"I don't want any trouble or fight over this issue."

Residents and Grand Saga have been engaged in a contest of wills as residents would remove the barricade only to see it replaced almost immediately.

On Tuesday, residents claimed they were assaulted by thugs while trying to remove the barricade.

Grand Saga has denied using thugs.

Meanwhile, Selangor MCA chief Datuk Ong Tee Keat said he has evidence that secret society members were involved in Tuesday's ruckus which ended up with five people injured.

He said he would provide the information to Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan soon.

The truth has came out :
1) Umno=BN=federal government has no principle, no leadership, paklah has no leadership, all the umno, cabinet only corrupt, arrogant, greedy,=CAG.
2) the definition of the privatization projects is to have a project that
benefit the people,(save money) that bring down the traffic jam, that will
benefit the govenment, save time, and petrol
this privatize project is definitely not doing that job, as such, it should
be revoke, by the federal gov, by virtual of it's wrongly advise the gov,
3) instead of saving money for the rakyat,
it actually burden the rakyat,
extra 7km, travel, burn and wasted extra petrol of rm$1.40 everyday,
need to pay extra toll,
4) further more, they are suppose to have alternate route, so, the actual
alternate route is 1.2km only, which is against all logic, and against all
common sense,
5) even if law is on the side of the GrandSaga highway authority, the federal
gov, on the moral ground, should get the barricade down, so that the rakyat
dont suffer, this is very obvious the privatize project is out to make
people suffer, make people miserable, make money and corrupt out of rakyat
this Grand Saga need to go to jail and go to hell
6) Government, Najisb, Paklah, should be champion of rakyat ? take care of
rakyat, very clearly, they and the police take care of the cronies, take care
of pocket, take care of their own , never take care of rakyat,
7) where is the justice to the Bandar Mahkota Cheras ? federal did not give
a shit about the rakyat, you know how to vote in the general election ?
smilies/cool.gif only the residents, the selangor Pakatan rakyat MP and MB, come out to
defend the residents, they got conscioune
9) umno = BN = CAG = go to hell
greedy corrupt, no leader ship, please go to hell

vote for change, vote for pakatan rakyat, get the MPs to cross over to pakatan rakyats, change the federal gov,

Whatever good the current government does in Selangor will be blamed as the works of secret societies members and whatnots, whatever bad done in the previous government was not the action of anyone but for the good of the people. Even the transer of fund to Balkis was done with thoughts of people in mind! Even the allocation of fund for one year spent in 2 months by the previous leadership, done for "speedy implementation" for the people's good!

It seem such simple problems for Mahkota Cheras sholud never happen at all,in common sense, law are bounded for the right of raykat be equal protected, not such Grand saga or developer, even it on court case, the use of this road for rakyat dont damaged any party claim, common sense is,this ia problems between federal goverment with grand saga, why rakyat are cought with it? what is lost to grand saga by allow it open ? If saga won developer pay for road damages too,if saga lost.sue the federal goverment, dont took mahkota rakyat for granted for demanding, they had right of way builded by Grand saga,so,if Saga still not happy, remove the whole road premix and Mahkota rakyat be more happy it not a perfect road but access for the right not took away.

Arrangement must be made for the heroes of Cheras Mahkota to do a road show in Sabah and Sarawak and enlighten our fellow east malaysian rakyat of what the bn government is doing to their brother and sister in Selangor. We must appeal to their political conscience to demand their wakil to cross over to Pakatan, before the disease of police brutality and impartiality hit the shores of Sabah and Sarawak[by which time it will be too late for themselve]
Peopleof East Malaysia, please come and assist us.Why trouble international communities, when we can stand up and heip ourshelve.

Contracts are meant to provide both parties. But in Malaysia, contract with the Government means that The Gomen loses.

Privitization is the catalyst for TDM in his 22 years of leadership. However, towards the end of the 22 years, privatization was becoming more like PIRATEtization. Lobsided contracts yet no accountability.

If it was a MNC, and lobsided contract that causes millions of losses will surely result in the CEO axed. But not in Malaysia.

It was a sad episode when BMC residents being left to defend themselves against tyrant/thugs while the Police unable to handle the fiasco amicably. Federal govt/previous Selangor State govt a.k.a BN should be held responsible since they approved the concession.

Ezam Turns Out To Be "A Rose Has Many Thorns"
"Ezam to make a timely move back to Umno". Malaysians absolutely shocked, but not to be surprised as the signs of Ezam's intention long before this had happened. Plans and intention of Ezam Mat Nor was there long before. He was waiting for UMNO to offer him a seat during March election but the offer never came through. If the offer was solid, Ezam would've jump to UMNO a long time ago.

This clearly confirms to all that bdowi doesn't care for the poor rakyat with his inaction. Either he is brain-dead, indifferent, arrogant, and/or indirectly helping Anwar to become the next PM. This toll imposed on BMC residents is tantamount to extortion. This bn government must go. We have had enough!

I'm a little disappointed with Khalid. What took him so long to act? And that only after the police made the first move. He looks more like a CEO-type than a political leader. DSAI needs to find someone with more balls to lead the state. Khalid may be ok for managing bank negara or such places if PR takes over. RPK will be an excellent choice for Selangor CM. Please consider this seriously, RPK ... for real change to take place, we need real leaders.

Out of all this what do we learn. People get injured, four young people lives are turned upside down, private company is more imporatant than rakyat and PDRM is above the law of Malaysia.

Still waiting!!!!! none of the 20 PDRM officers or officers in charge were disciplined or suspended for their involvement in abuse of power. NONE WHATSOEVER.... STUPID IDIOTS from BARISAN NASIONAL....
