THE ROYAL “OMISSION” - MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING - PAK LAH AND HIS CLOWNS

Introduction – the Wayang Kulit

I had, in an earlier article entitled “Pak Lah, the Joker and the Lady-in-Waiting” dated the 21st April 2008, exposed the fact that the Royal Commission was set up by the Prime Minister to divert the attention of the people during the 12th General Elections from the real issues – the misdeeds and corruption of the Abdullah Badawi’s regime. It was a simple blame game by Prime Minister Badawi – that whatever went wrong since he took office in October, 2003, was Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad’s fault.

The spotlight was focused on the alleged judicial misconduct of some judges. The ruling party’s [Barisan Nasional] mass media carried banner headlines for over a month, spilling over to the period just before the General Elections.

It was a pathetic effort and had no impact whatsoever on the electorate. The anger and mistrust of the Prime Minister and his family was deep and unprecedented. In the result, the Opposition denied the ruling party’s two-third majority in Parliament, as well as taking control of four critical states – Selangor, Perak, Penang and Kedah. It was a disaster for the Badawi regime. The ruling party has never suffered such an electoral humiliation. Throughout the country, people were calling for the Prime Minister to step down.

Matthias Chang..Let me add, the world is watching at this stupid drama played out by Malaysian politicians! I am surprised most of the UMNO/MIC/MCA politicians can stoop so low compromising their discipline and character by engaging in racist remarks and controlling the police force and judiciary for their own ends!

Could it be he understands that the path to power and wealth still lies in Ameno? Hypocrite. With his naked aspiration to become Ketua Perusuh Ameno in December, trying to become PM, he has shown his true colours. Mukhriz is a liar, hypocrite and as all pigs do, goes to the right trough for food.

I sincerely hope Pak Lah not only reverses many of your father's legacy, hopefully he permit sundry and all to tarnish your old man's for the fraudulent and power hungry and greedy Mamak that he is.

Let's blame the Bank Bumiputra fiasco on Khairy, shall we? Lets blame the 1988 judicial crisis on Badawi, shall we? When Dr M's sons got great commercial deals, let's assign responsibility to Anwar shall we? When Daim was allowed to plunder, let's blame Kamaluddin shall we? It is ok by me, if Dr M escapes judgement in this life, for I (speaking for myself) do not think he will be able to assign any blame to anyone in the afterlife. Get real will ya?

Matthias, is your wine bottle half full or half empty? We can argue till the tales are engraved on the stones in Mars. And where does that bring us? Anywhere nearer to the truth? Whose version of the truth? TDM's? The Royal Commission? The Court of public opinion? Mortal truth? Or Heavenly truth? Or your truth version from the Devil's advocate? If we go by your analysed version of how things should be re-written, there's no longer any history books to be have. TDM had his days of the truth. The Royal Commission now have theirs. Whether compensation is paid by the Government to the former Lord President is no longer the issue. He was dismissed and that stands true till this very day. And in perpetual days ahead. Or would you like the issues to be tried in the Privy Council? And any other forum beyond that? All that goes round would come back in the circle.

they the Umno government are proven that they do not have any integrity, they Umno has lots of corruptions, greedy misdeeds, arrogant. they Umno show in the pakatan rakyat finding, they has so much wrong and abuse committed in their Umno days.
They Umno, has also show to the world, like the vk lingam video royal commission, they are so arrogant, the Dr M, VK Lingam, Tengku Adnan, etc they have no respect and to the royal commission, they even lie and bluff in the royal commission hearing, they still deny treating the royal commission like kinder garden playground. umno and their cronies absolutely no class, they are not responsible. As such, the btest thing to do is to get the MPs to cross over to the pakatan rakyat.
why ?
e.g. pakatan rakyats have show us so many good things, they as a government they can do for rakyat, but Umno and BN gov, just not doing them,
BN and Umno gov, what do they do ? they make the rakyat suffer, bring hardship to the rakyat, e.g. Bandar Mahkota Cheras, they just make rakyat pay , make the KL,PJ people pay toll everywhere, the most densely populated capital of the KL/PJ is full of toll everywhere.
they the Umno BN gov, is just corrupt and abusive.
we must vote for changes
get the Paklah and the Dr M out of our system. one by one. get DSAI to be our PM.
Dr M outburst is after the royal comission report put to the pucblic.

Forget the Wayang Kulit. Are you saying:

1. EC and Intoxicated Indian meeting in S'pore & Auckland was an accidemt?
2. Intoxicated Indian, ex-AG and Tycoon posing in photo gives a clean picture of our Judiciary?
3. Intoxicated Indian was drunk in his own castle/
4. Ex-parte, Boonsak, MGG, Insas, Wee Choo Keong, Lim Guan Eng cases were all straight judicial decisions?
5. Promotion of junior judges was based on merit and not manipulated.

What are you saying. That you have no life and money after Firaun?

Mathias, we do not care what political gamesmanship is being played out and the players can go to hell. Everything politician out there will take advantage to spin according to correct and appropriate timing to advance oneself or to have one over their opponent. We are just interested in what is good and right for Malaysia.

As it is now, Anwar is the better option than Pak Lah and Pak Lah is a far better option than anyone from UMNO. he can just resign from UMNO and we don't give a damn. The outcome of March 8 is good for Malaysia and malaysian politics and we have waited way too long for it to happen and let you not pour cold water on it. Remember, you can have your opinion but let it be for the good of malaysia and it shall not be in blind suport or condemnation of any personality. give us Pak Lah anytime, you can keep the tyrant, however much you may admire him.

It seems to me Mathias is more interested to create doubt, or benefit of doubts as claimed in legal term. Whether Pak Lah is doing Wayang Kulit or otherwise, the story he is relating is relatively true. Maybe he is not telling the whole story yet, nevertheless we find there is already an inroad into this issue and the legal process should reveal the remaining part of the story, provided Tun is kept away from mainstream politic and power.

This article is full of crap.

Matthias, how much do you understand about the function of a Royal Commission and that it's never meant to convict anyone of any crimes? The Commission is to investigate and to find out if there are issues that need further investigation or prosecution. Thus it's alright for them to speculate and give possibilities as that's the role of the commission, to only highlight real or possible wrongdoings. The commission does not convict anyone. The standard of proof for criminal offences (beyond reasonable doubt) does not apply here. So, yeah you want to condemn this 'wayang kulit' condemn it with the correct facts, don't just make up your own facts.

Wow. This wayang kulit is really exciting. So far it has been way beyond my expectations. This has got to be the most spectacular show of the century! I will give it a 6 star disgust rating, viewer discretion recommended.

Everyone and his dog has good and bad points. But you do not seem to, or refused to, see the bad that Mahathir has done. I respect Tun for a lot of things that he has done for Malaysia, but I can also see for myself a lot of the present problems that are a direct result of his policies.

But that still does not absolve Mahathir of his deeds in damaging the independence of the judiciary.
