Youth chief condemns Mukhriz for conditional membership

(The Star) - Umno Youth chief Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein condemned Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir for setting conditions in asking Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to step down as party president.

"Mukhriz pressuring the president to step down is nothing new. But what I cannot accept is that he set conditions for his membership. He said he would leave the party if the president did not resign by July," Hishammuddin told reporters at the Parliament lobby.

He said he was not empowered to impose disciplinary action on Mukhriz but would raise the matter to the management committee headed by Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

On Tuesday, Mukhriz said he hoped "action will be taken before the party’s branch level meetings in July, and if the Prime Minister still does not step down by then, I reserve the right to take a different stand.

“If there are no positive developments within the party in the shortest period of time, my fear is that if the leadership crisis is to drag on, we will lose other states in the next general election. So there is no compromise. The Prime Minister should just resign,” said Mukhriz.

a typical opportunistic who is seeing his fast track Ministerial opportunity slipping away unless Najib takes over! Like other in UMNO - they polluted and stained the good names of the Malays to grab power and money - just like his Sinile Minister father.

Look - there are much truer Malays and Malays with immensely more Class and intellect and Respectability to defend UMNO. stop tainting and spoiling the reputation of the TRUE MALAYS.

Cummon UMNO members how can you allow one man, a single member, asking the PM of a country to leave or this one member will resign it seems. Why don't you guys ask him to resign because the PM of 26 million rakyaat will not resign (oops sorry minus 346 persons). Just because of these few individuals a PM must resign. I know UMNO teruk but don't let this fellow who is not even loyal to his father to drag your martabat lower. Tolong lah.

Mr Hishammuddin, I think you are really stupid! If someone has given an ultimatum with a timeline, then he is also quitting by that time frame! He is doing this with a motive, to pull away with him as many as possible of your Youth movement members with him.

I suggest Hishammuddin take the keris he like to kiss so much and castrate that Mukriz. His balls is getting bigger than his balding head. A youth council member asking the president to resign in as a condition to maintain his membership.

Right to the very last bone. So if Barisan indeed Barisan lose any more state, they would throw the whole punching bag onto Badawai and he will have to take the blame squarely. My question - can Mukhriz give any written guarantee if Badawi steps down now in accordance with the demands of his infamous father, UMNO can maintain the present situation or even win back state(s) lost in the last GE? If Mukhriz cannot furnish this guarantee, what's the hell difference between his infamous father and Badawi anyway? I'd like a frank open answer from him.
