He would also want his family to be safe, and he would most certainly want to know about his family's welfare.

A person under detention must not be hurt, caused hurt or injury including death. If any of the above happens, a thorough investigation has to be carried out. That is why Anwar during detention when he was caused hurt, he sued the govt and won the case.

I have a feeling that he is being denied visitation rights, because they are afraid he will send another article to Malaysia Today to be published via a middle man. Until Lim Kit Siang or Karpal Singh tells us DIRECTLY that RPK himself is refusing visitation, we should not believe this!

The government wants to shut him up. Now they think by isolating RPK, he will lose the momentum of support.

Dangerously, I am wondering what sort of threats RPK is facing? The men who blew up a woman (presumably pregnant) with a C4 can pretty much do anything to RPK's family and friends...

I believe RPK knows what he's doing. But I think he should at least request to see his wife, and then Puan Marina to inform the rest of us that THIS is his choice, and not because he is being denied visits. And the prison officers must reassure us by bringing Puan Marina in to see him, even if Pete says otherwise.

....Unless, he IS really being denied his family's visitation rights.

If this is really his choice, he must think again. How is he ever going to reach out to the rest of the rakyat? Out of sight may soon be out of mind, so I suggest he does not do that. He must be kept in the active mind of the people or else his cause (and our cause) will fade over time. He must think carefully how he wants this to be played out.

Sometimes, strategically, you have to run not because you are a coward, but so that you can live to fight another day.

Whatever it is, you have my thoughts and prayers that nothing bad nor evil will come unto you.

RPK - While I totally respect your actions in wanting to prove a point, I believe you languishing in prison for the next few months serves very little purpose, productively speaking.

While you are in, the powers-that-be will glee with joy. If you're out, then it's a different story.

We donated generously towards your cause because we want you OUT, not IN. If you had decided to stay in prison, then what was the point of the fund-raising?

You asked for RM1.00 per person to bail you out. We have far surpassed that, so why are you still being indignant and stubborn?

Why are you even refusing to see your wife? She needs your go-ahead as to the next course of action as far as your indictment is concerned.

Unless you have a specific strategy in mind in accomplishing what you want, then it's a different story.
