Let us pray that these MCA agent provocateurs rot in hell for seven generations. And if anything adverse does happen, let us hang the MCA people from the highest tree and leave their bodies to rot in the sun.

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER

Raja Petra Kamarudin

Barisan Nasional has finally recovered from the shock of the 8 March 2008 general election. Okay, it took one month, but at least they finally recovered, whatever it may be.

As soon as the full results of the general election came in, I remarked that the earthquake has hit Malaysia (some call it a Tsunami but it was actually more than that). My wife, wise as she always is, commented that the earthquake is not what brings the building down. The aftershocks will. So wait for the aftershocks, said my wife.

The last few days, we have been seeing the aftershocks and I told my wife that she was right. Now we are seeing the real damage of 8 March 2008. Again, in her wisdom, my wife remarked that we are yet to see the full blast of the aftershocks. This is only the quivering. The crash is yet to come. Wait for it, she said, Aiyah, susahlah married to such a smart wife.

Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has been making his rounds to meet Umno and Barisan Nasional leaders on the ground. Two days ago he was in Penang and Kedah. Before that he went to Sarawak and Sabah. Yesterday he was in Johor. And currently, even as you read this, he is in Selangor. And the message he received from the ground is all the same. He has to personally take responsibility for the general election debacle and must resign his post.

The people up north told Abdullah in no uncertain terms that he must go and the government has to be handed over to his Deputy, Najib Tun Razak, with Muhyiddin Yassin as the new Deputy. Heavens! In that case I would rather have Khairy Jamaluddin as Prime Minister. At least he is young, brilliant, and has a vision for this country. I mean, if it is going to be just replacing one Umno slimeball for another, then it might as well be an Umno slimeball who has brains (unless we can kick out Umno altogether and put the lovely Dr Wan Azizah as the new Prime Minister).

Mahathir once remarked that his richest Minister is Muhyiddin, who was then the Menteri Besar of Johor. Muhyiddin? I thought the richest Minister would be the then Minister of Finance, Daim Zainuddin. Apparently, Mahathir did not think so. One Umno leader then quipped that Daim may have a lot of money, but all that money belongs to Umno. Daim is just Umno’s trustee. So that would make Muhyiddin richer than Daim.

Anyway, that has now changed. Through a sleight of hand, Umno’s RM42 billion became Daim’s personal wealth when he quietly transferred all the money overseas during the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis. Daim ended up owning ten banks or so in Africa and Eastern Europe and Umno ended up broke. That made Mahathir mad as hell and this was the main reason for the fallout between Mahathir and Daim.

Aiyah, whose fault is it all? What do you expect when you ask the fox to guard the henhouse? For sure the fox will whack all the chickens. And then, when the chickens are all gone, you get angry. But is this not the job of the fox, to eat the chickens?

Enough digressing. Let us get back to the story of Abdullah’s roadshow. Umno Johor told Abdullah that he has to go. There are no two ways about it. Again, my wise wife said the night before that that Johor will be the real test for Abdullah. Johor is Umno’s kubu (fortress). If Umno Johor stands behind Abdullah, then he has a good chance of fighting his detractors. But if Umno Johor too turns on Abdullah, then he is finished.

And yesterday Umno Johor told Abdullah that they want him to officially announce his resignation. They left it to him when he will do that. They gave him an ultimatum but did not insist on a timeline. However, it should not be too long into the future. That’s it. Umno Johor has abandoned Abdullah. And, without Johor, Abdullah is dead meat. There is no way he can continue clinging onto power. Umno Johor wants him to openly declare his exit plan with a succession plan attached.

In the meantime, Umno and MCA have embarked on a psy-war campaign. Gerakan and MIC are running around like headless chickens and have yet to decide what to do. There is a good chance Gerakan, together with a couple more Barisan Nasional component members, might consider leaving the ruling coalition and join Pakatan Rakyat. But talk is still ongoing and no decision has been made yet. Gerakan, just like PPP and MIC, were practically demolished in the recent general election so they really have nothing to offer the opposition. At least MCA has 15 Parliament seats -- and that is half the 30 that Pakatan Rakyat needs to form the new federal government.

Okay, back to Umno’s and MCA’s psy-war campaign. Umno is going around telling the Malays that ‘Malay states have fallen to Chinese governments’. This is meant to play on the sentiments and raise the anger of the Malays. Umno even went so far as to say that the March 2008 general election is a repeat of the May 1969 general election -- so maybe a similar aftermath of the May 1969 is required this time around as well.

Aiyah, why is Umno talking about May 1969 being the same as March 2008 and that the same aftermath is needed. Okay, this statement may be veiled or disguised. But is it not dangerous to put ideas like ‘same as May 1969’, ‘same aftermath required’, and so on, into the heads of the Malays? Is all this ‘same as May 1969’ talk aimed at provoking the Malays to rise or is it meant to put fear into the hearts of the Chinese?

At first I thought this was merely meant to get the Malays to rise up in anger. But then the Malays of today are not even close to the Malays of the 1960s. So I did not think the instigation would work. Then it came to me. All this loose talk is not targeted at just the Malays. It is aimed at the Chinese as well. And this convinced me even more when MCA started talking about Islam.

Whatever Umno says will no longer work. They can talk about May 1969 and whatnot. But as long as it is the Malays who are doing the talking, Malays tak peduli and will remain calm. But if it is the Chinese who whack the Malays, in particular whack Islam, then that is another thing altogether. That can make the Malays angry.

Barisan Nasional realises that Umno can keep talking but the Malays will just turn a deaf ear. So now they are getting MCA to do the talking. And MCA is touching on an issue worse than race. They are talking about Islam. Religion is worse than race. Religion can even make people of the same race kill each other like in India, the UK, etc. So it would be more effective to whack Islam than to raise the issue of race. And if it is non-Muslims who whack Islam, then be ready for blood on the streets.

MCA is the true running dog of Umno. Sabah and Sarawak won 54 Parliament seats but they were offered only seven Cabinet posts, five mere Deputy Ministers on top of that. MCA, however, won only 15 Parliament seats but they were given 13 Cabinet positions. Another two and all the MCA Parliamentarians would be in the government. So MCA has almost as much to lose as Umno and they would be very prepared to assist Umno in this race-religious divide game just to protect their positions in the government and to remain the deputy taiko of Barisan Nasional.

Yes, we can see Umno’s sins. We can see how Umno plays the race card. We can see how Umno plays the dangerous game of racial politics. But what we don’t see is MCA also playing the more dangerous game of Islam whacking.

If there is one thing Muslims will not tolerate is insults to their religion. All you need to do is draw some cartoons of the Prophet and millions of Muslims all over the world will kill and burn. Hundreds of lives will be lost and hundreds of millions worth of property destroyed. Religion is certainly more volatile than race.

MCA had better get a grip on things. If Umno wants to talk about March 2008 being the same as May 1969, let them. Even if they want to suggest that the same ‘remedies’ as May 1969 are needed for March 2008, also let them. Malays can handle this. Malays can remain calm. Malays will not bite the bait. But stay off Islam. Whacking Islam is utmost dangerous. The Malays are capable of losing their minds and will go berserk, as Muslims all over the world have proven whenever their religion is challenged.

Okay, call the Malays irrational. Label Muslims as unreasonable. Never mind. I will agree with all that and will not dispute or rebut it. However, if you know all that, then why jolok sarang tembuan? There is no reason to whack Islam. PAS has already dropped the Islamic State issue. They have declared it is no longer on the agenda. They have stopped talking about it for four years now since the fiasco of the 2004 general election. PAS needs to keep talking about Islam to their own supporters to rebut what Umno is saying about them: that PAS has ‘betrayed’ Islam. So let them talk to their own supporters or else Umno will be ‘proven’ right and PAS’ relevance will be questioned. But MCA should not raise this as if an Islamic State equates to a Pariah State, which they very well know will rub the Malays the wrong way.

The Chinese should speak up. The Chinese should tell MCA to shut the fuck up. The Chinese should tell MCA that they trust PAS and are confident that PAS will not betray this trust. The Chinese should scream at MCA and tell that party that fights for Chinese rights that with a mere 23 seats in Parliament there is no way PAS can turn this country into an Islamic State when even Umno can’t with almost 80 seats.

Yes, Umno can’t get the Malays onto the streets. Umno can’t trigger a May 1969 ‘solution’ to the March 2008 election. So now MCA is trying to do that. Let us pray that these MCA agent provocateurs rot in hell for seven generations. And if anything adverse does happen, let us hang the MCA people from the highest tree and leave their bodies to rot in the sun.

I, for one, do not want a May 1969 ‘solution’. Most Malays, if not all, don’t as well. And we Malays curse those MCA Chinese who are prepared to see this country burn and lives sacrificed just so that they can win back ground they lost on 8 March 2008.

FOOTNOTE

By the way, today’s article is not as long as my normal pieces, which would run into five-seven pages. Many readers posted complaints in the blogs saying that my pieces are too long and touch on too many issues at the same time; so they find it very hard to comprehend what my message is.

Many blame the writer, meaning me, for not being able to transmit the ‘right’ message, although I would rather blame the Malaysian education system -- because we had to write pages upon pages of comprehension pieces when we were in lower secondary school. The English teacher would give us one incomplete sentence of one line and we would have to complete that sentence with 1,800 words. So I suppose, since the age of 13, we had been ‘trained’ to take just one word or one sentence and make a thesis out of it.

Anyway, for the sake of those who are not able to juggle many issues in their head at the same time, dissect all the many issues, deliberate the pros and cons of each issue, and then come their own conclusions based on the arguments presented, maybe they should stick to reading this column, THE CORRIDORS OF POWER. Those who enjoy being provoked, love playing the Devil’s Advocate, and get a turn on with debating (I don’t mean insult, scold, rant or rave), then they can continue reading NO HOLDS BARRED, which will tear into issues, rip your brains apart, and result in you pulling your hair out.

I understand that there are many types of Malaysians and that MALAYSIA TODAY must cater to all levels of the population. We have the preset minds -- people who have already formed an opinion even before they start reading anything. Then there are the open minds -- people who are prepared to listen to all sides of the argument. We also have the ‘fence-sitters’ -- people who would rather wait-and-see and make a decision based on who can offer the best argument. Then we have the setuju group -- people who will agree to everything that a writer says even if the writer says one thing one day and the opposite another day (which I sometimes deviously do) because they do not have a mind of their own. We also have the tak setuju group -- people who will disagree with everything the writer says because they just love disagreeing or because they don’t like the writer so they will simply disagree regardless whether the writer is right or wrong.

I suppose this should be taken as positive and therefore a reflection that MALAYSIA TODAY has a very wide and diverse readership. But it can of course also be very difficult when preparing a ‘single item menu’ as some love certain things while others may not.

Anyway, debate on readers.

(See, even the footnote is almost a thesis).

This MCA have to be dumped into the trashcan of Malysian society.
They are the real danger to our multi-cultural and multi religious demographic.
Remeber during the campaign period? "Vote MCA and MIC out and Chinese and Indians will pay the price" "Will be left out of the government with no representation."

So what if there is Malaysian Islamic state? It is just a name. Non-muslims will be protected, non muslims will not be forced to wear he***carves and pork will be banned, hudud law only apply to muslims, why need to worry?

Because the MCA and MIC had failed the chinese and INdians, the comunity they claimed to represent abandon them and even become campaign volunteers for PAS, which is percieved to be a religious fanatic party. That is why MCA need to invoke such sentiments, they are losing their relvance.

Yes Pete, A more concise article does help. Then again, it is sometimes not possible to 'nail' an issue or make a point in precision without strenghtening an argument with so many words.

All the same, I still enjoy your articles. Can't make me pull my hair out with some of your 'info', I aint got any hair, just like you smilies/grin.gif Cheers matey!

The rot in MCA started as far back when Ling Liong Sik took the helm. The cancerous cells multiply many folds during his time and Ong Ka Ting became the end victim when MCA never undergo the required surgery at thre critical period. The majority of the Chinese are now smart enough to cast them out, hopefully for perpetuity. They had not been called the 'running dogs' for nothing. The same could be said for SUPP in Sarawak. If not for the foochow factor, that Party too is as good as dead with George Chan clinging desperately as the President. MCA has never shown to be an intelligent Party. Neither do the Ex-Co. They bark when UMNO ask them too. They sit when UMNO ordered them too. And every now and then they could only meow meow to make themselves seen to be heard. The majority of the Chinese would not be sorry to see their demise. A weak leadership is no better than no leadership at all.

With Najis and Muhyiddin with all these questions unanswered, there it goes again. AAB is just not able to understand .. is'nt he ... or is he also dreaming about skeletons himself ?

Good article Pete.

Those MCA sorhai are still in denial mode. Why can't they just accept the simple fact that we don't need losers like them to represent us.

What is wrong with the Chinese community supporting PAS? At least we know PAS is more reliable and trustworthy than them.

As far as the urban voters are concerned, MCA is passe.

Good one RPK!! The Chinese must learn to trust PAS, heck, they've been trusting those UMNO/MCA bunch for the past 50 years! If the Chinese (or Indian) community wanted to have some reservation on trusting PAS, it's fine but just give them benefit of the doubt for now and decide on the next GE. Rally behind the PR and tell those MCA scum off!! I'm very sure that current PAS is a more open bunch (blame it on the years of bad portraying by MSM as a fanatic party) and they are more than able to be a good partner in PR for the sake of all Malaysians.

Lets stop all this religion bashing, be it Islam or other religions in Malaysia. Sit down, listen to the real explanation (not from ppl who are more than willing to cause trouble for their own sake) instead of jolok ANY sarang tebuan!! Go on guys, tell those bastards off and and show that politic of fear is over!!

If they use Islam bashing as a tool to stir troubles I will personally hold them responsible and to call them to account including the main culprits, the Ong brothers. I hope other past MCA leaders can get them out coz they do not represent the Chinese but themselves.

Why blame just AA Badawi, every level of leadership with the component BN are jointly and severally liable for failing to fulfil the just expectation of the rakyat.

In 2004 the rakyat gave the mandate to each and every leader of the BN component parties and not just AA Badawi to bring about positive changes to Malaysia.

As they have failed the constituents, I therefore urge every Malaysian to call for the resignation all Exco leaders of each component party of BN.

My response:

1) I urge all my friends in MCA to quit the party

2) I urge bloggers and all netizens to step up our vigilance, and continue spreading the message that UMNO/MCA is trying to stir up racial strive in Malaysia in order to win back power

3) I urge right thinking BN MPs to seriously consider defecting to Pakatan Rakyat without condition - there is only once in a lifetime opportunity to do something according to your conscience - don't screw the chance

4) I think the opposition should stop looking inwards as in trying to build up the economy and development of the opposition held states - don't give BN the chance to go on the offensive - I think this is as important as any other time for the opposition to keep whacking BN. If you like to have Pak Lah around because at least he is carrying out certain reforms, then you must whack the others like MCA - especially OKT and OKC - they are now the biggest liability in the country to secure peace and harmony. At least Gerakan has the objectivity to come out and say what is right for the moment, negating punishments that UMNO Penang and Azalina is trying to do against opposition held states. But MCA is a lost cause, taking their vindictiveness to another dangerous level.

Again I need to remind all the readers May 13, 1969 didnt happen by accident. It was SET UP and Staged by the shameless Umno leaders. Majority of the Malaysa didnt even that to happen at all.

I urge the current 5 state govt of PR to work harder and show the commoners that can run the show better with accountability and efficiency. Lets NOT be distracted by getting into UMNO or BN internal struggle. They have to sort out the garbage themselves and we should play any part on it. In reality, most of the umno members care less about the current political instability. They are more concerned as to how best they can run away with the ill-gotten wealth outside malaysia.

Dollah's problem is our problem. His days is numbered. He will step down and enjoying his honeymoon and catch up with sleep. He can enjoy his hobby after his retirement.

However, when Dollah is going to enjoy his sleep we will have Najib or Mahyuddin managing the virgin. One guy will rape and kill the virgin for his lust while the other guy will prostitute the virgin for money. Either way we are ****ed.
MCA, MIC and PPP will be the barking dogs making sure that their bosses are free to torn the country apart.MCA is now taking over the job of UMNO hitting PAS on Hudud Law. This is what a good dog normally do. They just follow their master.

Unless wisdom people in UMNO like Tengku Razaleigh doing something Malaysians will be ****ed big time this round. The othe roptions is for Pakatan Rakyat taking over the Federal Government. How come my brother (who is in the know) do not know about this nefarious plan?

I asked him about this and he practically rolled on the floor laughing. He told me that MCA has always been clearly against hudud and its natural to continue the stand. He said pity those people who always see conspiracy in whatever MCA tried to do, role of MCA has always been the "woh si low" (the bridgebuilder) between whoever fighting/got issues.

Let me check somemore when he's recovered...

I spoke to some malay and chinese friends (in their twenties)recently on the current situation of the country, and to some of my fathers friends as well. My malay friends seems very concerned and believe that the chinese are going to take control of the country. My chinese friends, most of them are not really bothered of whats happening. My fathers friends both the malays and chinese are just very concern about two things. First, the stability of the economy, especially some of them are in bussiness, because they cant afford to loose few years before things get settled down as they are not as young as i am. They, i suppose are much comfortable with the already established situations and network they are in although they know that many things are not right and they dont agree.

I guess what RPK wrote in this article is quite accurate. That the MCA will play on the issue of islam to provoke the malays and to the chinese community, very concern about money.

RPK, i personally think that having long articles is ok. Its what you write and the way you write makes me want to read and always feel its too litle. What i dont like is when i see the article is going to end.

Something is bound to happen within a month. Lets just sit back and watch. No need for us to get involved.

My advice to MCA and MIC representatives is DON'T visit the chinese and indians respectively now. Haven't they noticed the cold stares already? Chairs and shoes will be thrown at them. It is waiting to explode!

Malays should just lay back and see whats happening.

Perhaps the time is appropriate for the Supreme Ruler of the Armed Forces to have the military roll in and arrest the top leadership of UMNO and MCA for conspiracy to commit treason against the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong.

Detain them at the barracks, sentence them at a military tribunal, execution by shooting squad, and send the bill for the bullets to their respective party treasurers to reimburse the taxpayers.

(1)#MCA chief: Snooping spies claim 'unthinkable'

(2)# Slamming his detractors for making the ‘unthinkable’ claim, MCA chief Ong Ka Ting stresses that the party will not practise such unhealthy culture by delegating ‘spies’ to snoop on rivals.

The above 2 para confirmed MCA is on 'self- destruct mode'. MCA is going nuts.

OKT is attacking his 'own friends' within his own ranks to remain relevant.

The MCAputras even threatened to purge all party members that asked the 'ONG ' to resign. Nationwide 30 % or more members will surely resign in due course. Infightings & back bitings have also paralysed rabbit Donald Lim.

Read this ...http://www.bernama.com/bernama/v3/news_lite.php?id=326215
Federal Constitution Needs Amending To Give Judiciary Power To Act On Political Parties.
Former MCA vice-president Datuk Chua Jui Meng suggested Friday...
"Members must be shielded from sacking because they bring complaints of injustice pertaining to their party to the court for adjudication," he said.

At least Datuk Chua Jui Meng is more sensible in his approach.
Is he making a come back to challenge OKT & OKC ?

Whatever it is, MCAputra under OKT is on life support. Very cancerous .

Like a serpent , it bite foes & friends alike.

I fully concurred that MCA grassroot members should throw OKT & OKC into the thrast -bins & 'and leave their bodies to rot in the sun'.

All Malaysians (of Chinese origin) should kick MCAputra out. Do it now.

Yes, we must put those racial politician into the burning fire, like the BBQ pig, no matter who are they. Malaysia do not have place for racial politic. The Paklah, better start to abolish the racial "forms" do away with those forms that require us to fill up what "race", we will just fill up the name, citizenship, do not fill up about race and also religion. Best still, if the officer insist that we fill up that column, we should make sure we fill up as the main race, and the main religion.
We all malaysian, must start to do that :
1) whenever we fill up any application forms, Do not fill up the column "race", just put the citizenship as Malaysian, ignore the "race" and ignore the "religion", they dont need to know what is our race and religion, that has nothing to do with the government office, the bank, and etc.
2) As we continue to boycott the MSM media, due to their biased reporting,
3) we continue to stop eating the nasi kandar for many good reasons, such as : expensive, high cholestrol that lead to the diabetes and cardio heart problem, or kidney failure
4)must continue to stop people from going to the MCA function, MIC, Gerakan, Umno function, but we can accept their money and aids, they are the arrogant bunch with greedy money politic
5)should start to join the PR and help them to be successful, so that they dont lost their identity like the Umno,BN politicians
6) MCA running dog and the Umno will start to go back to communal politicking, and incite hatred for racial problem, we must make sure all malaysian remain cool and caring towards each other, prepare to put a helping hand as human will help human, do away and shy away from racial way of hatred or Umno way of doing things. Please get into the habit of humane, humility that help each other as fellow human being, we must start to help raise our kids to be colorless. no more, no more racial base policy or way of looking at each other, please help all human being irregardless of race !!! Please !
god bless Malaysia, and lets move forward with new frontier,
PR is the way going forward ! stick together we will have new vision and future, so much better, we have to pay a price to get it, we have wasted and lost 50 years under the umno dominated BN, useless, communal non universal value ideology ! we are not competitive, and we must move away to the merit base, colorless policy !

During our school days, we were trained to write long essays, in them we displayed our proficiency in juggling with words seldom being spoken or written. We were practically forced to put on show of our dynamism and strength in our vocabulary - ‘as strong as the banyan tree’.

Even in punishments, I recalled, upon my deliberate nonattendance ‘tuang’ of my science class, I was forced to fill up the whole of my exercise book with a citation, “A catalyst is a substance which hastened the speed of a chemical reaction” … sampai hendak tercabut tangan ..sampai sekarang pun masih fresh in my memory (I hated then that skinny, anak dara tua, Miss Lee! One more thing: Can Karpal Singh shut his big mouth? Whether we like it or not, the Malays are the majority race and sooner or later, it is the Malays who decide if they want a Muslin state or not. Karpal will not be around to see it and there is nothing he can do about it. He is the one who is going to make the Malays mad by his stupid speeches. He is as bad as Mahathir. "MCA is the true running dog of Umno. So MCA has almost as much to lose as Umno and they would be very prepared to assist Umno in this race-religious divide game just to protect their positions in the government and to remain the deputy taiko of Barisan Nasional."

Last time when UMNO or Najib says malaysia is an islamic country why don't you vigourously fight with your master? Non-muslims should realised that the islamic debate is a non issue. We are already an islamic state, even though our constitution is secular. The syariah laws have already been implemented in malaysia and muslims are governed by it. Non -muslims should only monitor that those laws do not encroached on not muslims rights and freedom to live in this country. So MCA are big bullshitters and for the last 50 years when islamics laws were implemented why don't they object to it.

It is time that those who voted MCA sit down and do some thinking.
It is time that those who persuaded others to vote MCA sit down and do some thinking.
It is time that those who have even ONE SINGLE WORD OF GOOD to say about MCA sit down and really do some thinking.

Some people look for small things in order to split hairs. They like to take a ‘balanced’ view. They take a balanced view of (say) rapists of young children, serial killers, and of traitors who collaborated with the Japanese butchers– they feel good taking a balanced view of everything.

Why do I raise the old story of Japanese butchers?

A certain Lee Teng Hui, whose brother fought in the Japanese Army in WWII, visits the Yasukuni shrine every year to honour his brother and the Japanese sub-humans who killed millions of Chinese. This man became leader of the Kuomintang and ‘President’ of Taiwan.

What does that tell you about the thinking of Lee Teng Hui’s supporters?

MCA may be made up of sub-humans but there will still be some Chinese who will take a ‘balanced’ view. They like to point to the ‘good’ things that MCA has done for the Chinese community. Among these, Chinese reactionaries and self-seekers are foremost. Why do you think China had to have a communist-led revolution to truly save the nation?

MCA must be destroyed completely, for the sake of every true Malaysian. And the responsibility lies with Malaysians of Chinese descent.

As to shooting and hanging the Ling Liong Siks, Chan Kong Choys, Ong Kah Tings and others of this sub-species, we can split hairs and think of more deserving ways.

Pete...wow..you use f...k on MCA for seven generations! Way to go!!!!!
I would not worry about MCA....let them continue ranting and raise the issue of Islam...they are in the opposition aren't they in the 5 states? Hmm...just what DAP did when they were in the opposition some 30 years ago.
It is called Street Politics...after all the President of MCA was in the Home Affairs at one time.Incidentally MCA is run by the Ong Brothers Sdn. Bhd...one outside the cabinet taking video shots;one in the cabinet and trying to give away TOL land titles but sorry the new government in Perak had done that. Why wait 30 years for TOL land?
MCA will go the way PPP has been...remember the Seenavisagam brothers who founded PPP who which gained power within Perak and later became oblivion through the passage of time ?
At the rate the Ong Brothers manage MCA it will face its own tsunami and it will be an implusion within its ranks.MCA is not relevant to the demands of liberal socialism that is shaping global politics and shaping communities everwhere.
Anyway what do we expect from the the present President and the former President Ling Liong Sik?Gerakan,MIC, MCA and UMNO had a common thread.....the previous (and current) czars ruled the political parties over 15 years. The outcome as you can see are weak second in command and thrown into the deep end of politics.
It is the selfish interest of the political master to make sure that the second in command is weak...see how many deputy presidents were there in UMNO during Mahathir's watch?
I can see the end is near for Gerakan and MCA if they continue the way they conduct themselves and it would be a matter of time it would be in the obiturary column of Malaysia's political history.
So let MCA continue its ranting...it has fitted in the role of DAP when it was in opposition.Unfortunately where would MCA be relevant...at best localised in Johore and not in other states...then it would be better to rebrand MCA to Johor Chinese Party right?

Dear RPK this is for you ,
Have this ever cross your mind that all issues on religion , islam , hudud only came out from two mother****ers in MCA ? The mother****er president and sister****er secretary general !! You know who they are ??? they are none other than corpse****ers Ong Ka Ting and Ong Ka Chuan and not MCA in general . MCA members are equally pissed off with these corpse****ers and that is why there is a group going round criss-crossing the country telling these bastards to step down . If there is anything you want to direct have it directed to these two corpse****ers . Dont be surprise that one day MCA will do the unthinkable , something that will come as a tsunami to UMNO . I do not want to delve into this issue at the moment cos its to sensitive . For this to happen the effect will only be felt as when a dam burst and not off water leaking from a dam . RPK you should know what i am insinuating or saying and it can only be done when these corpse****ers are gone and a new leadership in place . That is the reason sometimes I get pissed when people who are not aware of this scenerio starts bashing certain MCA leaders and muddying this crusade .

The other thing is that these two mother****ers are strongly supported by the boys from the fourth floor and in particular the Khinzir Jantan . Are you aware also that they given a free hand to put in candidates of their choice during the general election ? Strong candidates , winning horses were replaced at the last minute without intervention by Abdullah Badawi ? Messages transmitted to him to tell him of the impending tsunami fell on deaf ears , that certain horses will definetly lose on the starting grid , again no response as the mother****ers were given a blank cheque to do as they please by the boys from the fourth floor . So I am not surprise this could be another game plan by them and the two mother****ers to play on the religion card . Most of the fouth floor boys are still there , still in service after the debacle and the tsunami . Obviously the old man hasn't learnt from all this and is still using them . For your info Datuk Vincent Lim the Chinese Political Secretary to the PM is an inplant by the chief mother****er , seconded by him from Nanyang Media , so you can see the connection .

All of BN leaders are still in denial mode. Anybody on the streets can tell you arragont UMNO bastards why we vote for PR. MCA and Gerakan are both trying to outwit each other into trying to bodek UMNO. That makes UMNO more arragont. Up to such a point that even UMNO youth president and his deputy can warn and hantam both MCA and Gerakan president. My advise to MCA, you can close shop in Penang and Perak as you are no longer revelent in these 2 states. PR govt in Perak has already solve the new village title problem within 50 days in power whereby you cannot solve this problem with BN durng the 50 years partnership with UMNO in the BN govt. So the people in Perak cannot be con by you again. As for Gerakan, you will end up like PPP.

{Ahem, I am typing this out because my friend is dictating to me to reply to YM Raja Petra:}

Dear sir,

I am a friend of bananachinese.
I totally don't agree YM RPK scolding and cursing MCA.
Reason: DS Ong KT is repeating MCA's stand (secular, monarchy constitutional country) in his speech in response to PAS deputy spiritual leader Datuk Dr Haron Din's statement in the party's mouthpiece, Harakah Daily that PAS would amend the constitution and turn Malaysia into an Islamic state if it held control of the federal government. Aren't you aware MCA today starts talking like what you demand of a politician to do?
Why should there be issue of MCA being use by UMNO? Why, they have been quarreling over the same issue before. It has nothing to do with kowtow to UMNO! It is just MCA more more out spoken today over this issue. Do you think MCA like to see Malaysia in chaos ? No ! Some more you always said Chinese always kiasu....
YM, Ong's speech is purely to bring out party stand - Nothing against Islam, no disrespect to Islam (full respect to all Malaysians, all religions) and to reiterate Federal Constitution. Not linked with UMNO's May 13.

Thank you.

So MCA has almost as much to lose as Umno and they would be very prepared to assist Umno in this race-religious divide game just to protect their positions in the government and to remain the deputy taiko of Barisan Nasional.

like u said, UMNO / BN realized their position and the magnitude of their loss late. The East Malaysians I think will not be quiet for too long. MAC will not be able to turn around their fortunes anytime in the near future.

The longer UMNO takes this to mind, the more perilous it will be their position as the governing political party. All the UMNO / MCA ministers must give way to the East Msians. They have begun to become aware of their critical position in BN. Ignore them and there will be a hefty price to pay!

Or people just dun react anymore to sensitives subjects (race, religion). That would be a dream come true.

Why waste time to argue about pig farm, khalwat, or other unbelievable matters when there are more important things, like education or global warming.

BTW, when the world leaders talking about global warming, I dun see any leaders from here take this subject seriously. Or I missed it ???

What MCA is doing now is to make the Chinese(those who did not vote for MCA/BN) regret having voted for PR. And the way to do it is to foist the Islamic state and the posssibility of having hudud laws implemented in this country. Sure the Chinese will be scared and put off if the hudud laws are implemented in this country. But then the Chinese have already accepted that it is only a matter of time, say 15 to 25 years from now, that Malaysia will be a full-fledged Islamic state a la Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, and Saudi Arabia.

So trying to scare the Chinese by saying that hudud laws will be implemented by PAS/PR does not mean anything to the Chinese. And the Chinese is preparing for that time by giving their children the best education possible or skill training as far as possible, to make themselves marketable in other countries.

As for the Malays, I don't think that, this time around, they can be easily provoked by MCA, as they know that MCA is the true running dog for UMNO. So too is Gerakan. I can't say anything about MIC. Let some Indian comment on MIC.

I'm doubly dismayed by the recent warning from OKC regarding PAS's intention to set up an islamic state.OKC is trying to manipulate the fears of the chinese to reject PAS completely and hope that PR with break apart.

Whether PAS will actually be in a position to make Malaysia an islamic country is both questionable and debatable at this point in time. But all non muslims should be aware that it is BN that has so far been completely accountable for all the religious iniquities - religious repression ( temple demolitions, denial for the construction of temples, churches, statutes etc ),racial and national faux pas(balik tongsan or India kind of statements);body snatching incidences, denial of legal justice for religious disputes etc.

It is ironic that MCA were very quite about the above incidences, but is now warming the non-muslims, the Malaysian Chinese in particular, about the dangers of PAS.

The Chinese has given MCA 20 years, if not 50 years, to bring about an equitable and fair treatment of the non-muslim religious interest, the Malaysian national wealth and so on. But how have they performed so far?

It is perhaps time for the Malaysian non-muslims to put their bet on PAS for once. And should PAS's performance or action prove unacceptable to the non-muslims later, then by all means get rid of them as well. But for now, get rid of MCA.

2) MCA challenged Umno when Mahathir announced on 29 September 2001 that Malaysia is already an Islamic State and remind Mahathir-Umno the same way it is trying to remind PAS.

3) MCA objected to the plan to merge the common law and syariah courts.

RPK,

I refer to Chaptokam’s post and agree with him fully that don’t be surprised when another ‘tsunami’ hits UMNO.

Please advise your readers that there are many within the party and previously apolitical Malaysians of Chinese descent who are working silently and furiously to replace the present leadership of MCA and Gerakan and bring them out of the BN.

It would go a long way if you could direct your criticisms at those who uttered such foolish and insensitive comments rather than the silent membership at large. The top leadership is desperately trying to drum up support from the older uneducated grassroots members in a desperate bid to retain their relevance.

Like Chaptokam alluded to, there are many of us who will not stand for MCA or Gerakan to continue pandering to UMNO to our own detriment. We hear the rakyat.

Maybe we are not prepared yet to throw our weight behind the PR but we’re trying to offer an alternative to the many who are caught between ‘a stone and a hard place’. We are trying to create an independent 3rd alternative as a first step.

Even this 1st step is already fraught with difficulties because ‘fear’ is so ingrained after 50 years of communal politics.

We also want the same things for Malaysia; peace, justice and equal opportunities for ALL Malaysians.

RPK, thanks yet again.

I am just perplexed at how these jerks at MCA behave and think. They are in such sorry state that even being a lap dog seem inadequate to their dickhead UMNO masters. They want to do more now. Don't they get it??? We are NOT listening to them anymore.

Look at PAS, they have virtually buried the notion of being an extreme party by standing on middle ground on many issues. While admittedly, there are still some 'difficult' members in PAS (that goes for DAP too), PAS has done 2 very significant things in the last few weeks that has changed the perception forever. One - the land owners in Perak got their land titles they so longed for and deserve, finally from a PAS MB. Two - one of their MPs even went to the extent of attending a Catholic Church mass to thank the Christian voters in Shah Alam for voting him and personally gave the Christians his assurance that their rights will be fully protected and looked after.

These are obvious efforts to move in that direction by the PR government, especially PAS. What the MCA idiots could not do is now done by PR and (especially) PAS in just a few weeks after coming into power, a party that the Chinese are supposed to fear according to the stupid MCA.

And now they want the DAP to apologize to the Chinese for the rhetoric from a PAS member - no need lah!! These shithe*** at MCA are such freaking hypocrites. If you really want to do this, why don't you redeem yourself first. Why don't you start by asking your UMNO prick masters such as the bigot shithead, Kerismuddin to apologize to the Chinese instead. Or pehaps, get the leaders like AAB and Najis to do the same for conveniently ignoring the constitution that you so want to protect by declaring Malaysia as an Islamic state.

Of course we know that will not happen, as the idiots in MCA have lost their bloody lam pah (balls lah), especially that prick Ong Kid-ding. Please la MCA, you are no good to us anymore. STOP playing the racial and religious cards. Go and close your stupid MCA shop and jump off the nearest high rise building la. After your demise, the ex-Chinese (who would like to be known only as Malaysians from now on) will not mourn you but instead will hold a Kenduri to celebrate with the rest of the other Malaysians.

So please do us a favour. Get lost and stop saying you represent us. You, MCA, are a total disgrace to us all Malaysians. So, just fark off...!

One reason why the Malaysian chinese talk more of UMNO than MCA is probably because, the MCA has became a non-entity in their mind. (I can't speak for the Indians or on MIC, as I am not qualified) In some way, and ironically, that spared the MCA from being whacked as hard as if they were a party counted. The majority of the Malaysian chinese today will believe more in PRK (a party is headed by a malay muslim, and will probably always will be) than MCA anythime of the day. They have no issue of a Muslim malay leading the country.

As for Islam, the Malaysian chinese is not really concern of its dominance at all. They are so used to living near a mosque and hearing the prayers 5 times a day that it is already part of daily life. On the ground, they will have no complain if muslim employees take time off to pray, even though they are not given the same priviledge of special time off to pray to theirs. No chinese boss will ever think of preventing even the lowest of muslim staff to perform their religious duties. They will even go all the way to ensure their fellow muslim colleagues have assess to halal food in functions and even in their own home if visited by non-muslims - 10 out of 10 times! Many took "muslim" food on a daily basis, eating in Malay restorans and Mamak stalls without a wince or habouring a single thought tof why can't the muslims do the same. In other words, the dominance of Islam in malaysia was never an issue with the chinese and probably others.

But UMNO actually spoiled Islam not only in the minds of the chinese, but also all others, not because they built more mosques or give the religion more prominance. It was because UMNO began to increasingly impose by force their religious faith and values on others. And non-muslims saw MCA and MIC were powerless to stop the erosion of their sacred right. So they hated UMNO and downgrade the MCA & MIC (both non-muslim BN parties) to non-entity status. It is so bad at the ground level, the chinese do not even want to waste time complaining about the MCA.

Pete was right when he said malays can run riot if they perceived Islam were attacked. But Islam was never hated nor attacked, and never will be in the daily lives of Malaysians. It is the UMNO-led BN who was hated and attacked because they unnecessarily violate others' religious rights in the name of Islam. The court decisions, the body snatching incidence, rights, destruction of temples are but some we can watch daily.

If a leader of another country were to impose the values of say Christinity on Muslims in the slightest way, you can expect an even worse reaction. Why do you think there is constant violence in Southern Thailand, Philippines and Tibet? It is about religion! Why are muslims killing muslims in Iraq? It is about religion! Religion is so sensitive because it is concerned about living in eternity. Everyone knows he can only live here for up to around 80 years. For many religious people, it is worth it to cut short some years for the sake of their eternal life. Why do you think there are suicide bombers? The action of UMNO destroyed the Image of Islam in the minds of others. They won the battle exteriorly, but war, which is the war of the minds. They reacted to UMNO because the party already "acted" and "acted unfairly, blantantly and unconstitutionally", but the same people are merely "weary" of PAS national Islamic state because it is still a "concept" in the leaders' mind and in Kelantan they have not impose the religion harshly.

Look at Perak, which is not a declared Islamic state. In one strategic move of giving out land titles to the deserving, the Muslim-MB of PAS probably won more fans for Islam than all forcing put together in the last 50 years! The BN leaders never learn, do they?...sigh...

Dear romerz, thank you and sorry for targetting the silent majority of MCA. I take back my statement. Yes, I too know many of the MCA people and am actually friends with them. I hope in that same spirit others too will not whack all Malays or all the 1 million PAS members because of 1 or 2 stupid members/leaders of PAS who are still living in the past and have not woken up to the political realities of the present day. I think I have whacked Malays, Muslims and PAS more times than I have whacked Chinese and MCA in my pieces since the last 4 years so I certainly do know that there are many Malays who need a hard hit on the head as well.

I'd read an article on NST about MCA suggesting that PAS will turn Malaysia into an Islamic State once they are in power. I wonder how is PAS going to do that considering that PKR DAP have more MPs than them in the parliament. In fact, I was checking the blogs to see if there was any malice in MCA's statement when I stumble upon this article.

How come MCA don't complain when UMNO declares that Malaysia is an Islamic country. Why now? Is MCA scared shit of PAS cause the PR Perak MB managed to grant the land titles which MCA was not able to do in the 50 odd years they were in power.

Screw MCA for duping us for years, for saying that they are the champion of Chinese rights, but the fact is that they are just UMNO lackeys. The only thing that they are good and fond of doing is playing up the issues with Chinese schools. To be honest, they just playing the divide and conquer game with Chinese schools as their main weapon. I would really like to see a common school that offers Chinese, Tamil and etc. as compulsory subjects.

I think MCA able to incite rioting is far-fetched. First reason is that they are becoming irrelevant and do not represent the majority of Chinese voters who did not vote them. Secondly, their image as UMNO's running dog have tarnished their reputation so badly that not only the Chinese don't take them seriously, the Malays also. Thirdly, to get the sort of similar to 1969 response, they need to get the Chinese to start the fire which is not going to work by just MCA challenging Islam because most Chinese believe it or not are not out to challenge Islam. The non-Muslims' acts which are seen as anti-Islam is really more about the non-Muslims trying to protect their own rights. Thus any attempt to get the non-Muslims to 'attack' would not work because no one wants to attack anyone.

Whatever it is, I think MCA is playing with hornets in the sense that they are trying to find relevance with the Chinese community at the cost of incurring wrath of Muslims. As for the agenda? I don't know. As far as this article is concerned, I give little weight in conspiracy theories.

{ahem, just got my friend and this is his reply:}

Dear Raja Petra,

Appreciate your response. I am aware of the engagement problems of MCA - just as Dr. Bridget Welsh has pointed out in her interview. Yes, am pushing hard for reform. Tough work working on culture and expanding paradigms. But all is not lost. MCA whether we like it or not is still the 'better' party within BN that has the clout to speak and act (unfortunately its style is to get things solved quietly behind close doors and brought out in cabinet meetings - got to preserve the dignity, according to some confucius thought, but this practice is not as we modern people can accept). And I totally emphatise with what you are doing for Malaysians. But enough about my tough task.

MCA's style has never been to take issues to public if they can solve it quietly. (In appearance, seen as not fighting among the family members). On negara Islam, there is the matter of language terminology (check out the confusion in 'state', 'country' 'nation' and its application in Malay, English and Mandarin) then you see headache of MCA when it took up the issue with Najib. Yes, MCA took the lead in the memo. The rest joined the caravan ride.

This is same like DAP isn't it? DAP also dead set against negara Islam, that's why Karpal insisting PAS declare now to avoid problems later. As we all know, politics always is never static and today's bedfellows can be foes tomorrow.

RPK, how can we be sure PAS has really discarded their Negara Islam document? If yes, why their members act like it still exists? Can we blame MCA, DAP if they are uncomfortable with this?

On your questions for other issues, will need to write a thesis smilies/smiley.gif

On another matter, your choice of topic has certainly succeeded to bring out the beasts in us. Reading your response to romerz is refreshing (I like both your civil conversation) Its as different as day and night as compared with the various hate/irresponsible postings by commentators, I am forced to arrive at the conclusion that debate or progressive ideas is futile with hard he*** made up of the setuju and tak setuju fighting for attention of the fence sitters. Would I be correct to say Malaysia's politics is in its early infancy? Until such a time we have created a substantial number of the open minds, Malaysia politics journey hereon infancy will be bumpy and very noisy.

Just look at Malaysia political parties - they sure cannot reign in their juniors/members from making statements that jeopardise/conflicted their party's position/stand. We cannot fault other political parties from responding to these statements as each has their political stand and right to response. Meanwhile, the setuju and tak setuju just happily jump in to shout their hate.

How can politics advance when the people themselves are not?

I apologise not able to address the topic on running dog directly now, will do later. But I do hope to see more open mind debate for it if Malaysians intend to continue more conversations.

Moral authenticity
--Palden Jenkins

A nation is in a sorry state when it resorts to dishonesty to progress its cause.

The psyches of most nations have authenticity problems. The world needs a psychological shake-down, a cleansing of hidden agendas. This will allow things to progress.

Hidden agendas are usually fought out through conflict and manipulation of power, but this cannot continue.

Avoidance of truth and cooperation will, as the years roll on, charge an ever-increasing price: geopolitical games are becoming increasingly transparent.

If a nation mistreats other nations, or its own people, it dishonours and shames itself. It becomes unbelieved and disrespected, ultimately risking making itself a pariah state.

Which are the Chinese organizations that can command the attention and respect (awe, rather) of the power cliché within MCA? Does the various Chambers of Commerce, clan associations or Chinese educational groups have such influence? The DAP should immediately convene a meeting of these bodies to exert maximum pressure on the MCA command to desist from prolonging such a suicidal course of action. Hey, maybe even the Chinese tri*** (if they still exist in Malaysia) should be called upon to join in in this undertaking. If any racial disturbance were to erupt in Malaysia now, we can say goodbye to the progress achieved during the past 20 years. With the world’s economy certain to experience a recession in the near future, and with prices of daily essential items escalating with no end in sight, any drastic slide in the country’s economic well-being will definitely result in ALL MALAYSIANS SUFFERING A DRASTIC DROP in our standard and quality of life. Wow! And not forgetting the thousands of Chinese members, do you think they enjoyed watching MCA being screwed by all of you? If you’re thinking of acquiring these Chinese votes forget, forget, forget it! They do not want to be labeled as prostitutes later!

As one of your readers commented, MCA still has the clout to speak and act in the interest of the Chinese and they still have thousands of supporters who are watching and reading in disbelieve all that is being said about MCA their party which they have been part and parcel of for decades.

Call it anyway you want but this is blatant indoctrination and brainwashing of people especially the Chinese. Just blame everything on UMNO and MCA, day after day, hour after hour and the weak of mind will eventually lose themselves and start to prostitute themselves, losing their pride and dignity in the process. Keep it up the more you swear and rant, the more the silent majority will empathize with the running dogs and will all the more feel sorry for them and want to give them a home, a shelter from all the rocks and stones.

I applaud and admire Karpal Singh for his courage, his integrity, for being so vocal on PAS and their dream of an Islamic state and country. No matter what anyone says it will always be an agenda for PAS and don’t anyone forget that!

As damage control, the government quickly announced that they are setting up a new school at Tropicana to 'replace' this school although it was an afterthought.

Why did they close down this Chinese school? Because some MCA people wanted the very valuable and prime land to make money.

So don't talk about MCA 'fighting' for Chinese education 'behind closed doors'. This Melayu named Raja Petra was there and he never saw any MCA Chinese there. My own feeling about the Ong brothers really is that, years of being eunuch to UMNO, they now start to think more like them. In fact, Ong brothers appears to be taking pages out of Dr. M's playbook.

If what you suggest is accurate that MCA is playing the stooge by attacking the Malays as an instrument of UMNO. They are going to be in for a shock. Because should that come close, Gerakan has no choice but to join Pakatan Rakyat AND contest against MCA.

The truth is Gerakan is less guilty than MCA when it comes to mistake during the last election. They just bore the brunt of it because they were in more susceptible areas. If Gerakan joins Pakatan Rakyat and contest against MCA, they would actually do better than DAP would. The issue really is can DAP accomodate Gerakan? Not that easy...

The Ong brothers are anachronism just like Dr. M, they are a problem now but they won't last long. The Chinese are better at renewal of leadership. They won't put up with mediocrity for long...

Gone are the days of Communist Insurgency when MCA serves as a sanctuary for the Chinese community living in fear. Your agendas are no longer relevant. To Chua Jui Meng, Chua Soi Lek, Ting Chew Peh, etc., consider yourselves fortunate that you guys were kicked out of this cesspool earlier.

So Banana,

You cant even answer RPK and my question. Defending the undefendable is a tough task. It's a loss cause. Why not quit the puppet party and cross over and do something useful for real.

They are not as "outspoken" today as you claimed. They speak when it convenience them and get them brownie point.

Also, MCA is in the driving seat. It is the Government. Everytime somethng happen, they will say they will refer back to the government (read: UMNO). I guess only 1 party is in the government.

Hello. The ball already in MCA court. They dont even have the gut to pick it up. Whats the point of keep playing ball? quit now my dear

P/S: To all commentators who cursed, villified MCA and their leaders - guess which political party worked hard to get Nat free?

Bananachinese and friend,

MCA include you still don’t get it.

MCA have to work hard for almost everything, not only to get Nat free, include others like scholarship, Chinese school, 50 to 60 of our children cram into one class, insufficient teacher, entrance to university, Bai Xiao and many more. The excuses are always political reality, not enough support from the community and even tell us you all prefer to work quietly “behind close door”. The whole situation indicates not only how rotten the whole administration especially the education system, it show how tiny is the role of MCA.

No, there in not much commonality between Petra and you all.

Petra, PKR Malay and PAS Malay make a stand on the Bai Xiao issue but MCA gang lead us walk around the garden. Even the relatively clean leaders like Ong Tee Keat and Tan Yee Kiw can only talk about insignificant issue and the whole party turns to become one welfare organisation. Walk into a book store you saw OKT riding on the bicycle cycling around the “new village” but didn’t MCA notice that there are not many villages around anymore?

Hi YM RPK,
Another good article.

i have read what BananaChinese'friend comments on MCA, what his comments is the issue of OKT statement is not related to any UMNO plot. Others issue/statement maybe, not this one.Banana C is not telling what has MCA doing good for Chinese. I can sure you MCA will repeat the same statement even if UMNO declare ISLAMIC STATE.( never happen during the previous MCA leadership)
YM , should YM remind the Pakatan specially PAS not to touch the religeon issue at this time?
I have read a lot news from PAS and Harakah, PAS did pushing the Islamic state as soon as taking over centre goverment, also supported by 5 states of PAS youth. Even though PAS captured less then half of Parliament seats, but combine with other muslims MPs from other party can
change the constitution any time.

We always belive the MCA is behave like dogs...etc. Not my concern, but if PAS
has started telling all muslims "their plan finally will be" at this time can make more fire then MCA. DAP may joint in also.
We have heared the what have Kelantan's Prince said yesterday, and the Prince is surrounded by UMNO. YM should touch on this next article.
Thanks.

Dear Raja Petra,

Suddenly, I've been elevated to become a trusted postman. Please see below a comment from another MCA member. Tks!
---

Dear Raja Petra,

Your observation is noted. An old adage has it that factual intent less verification equates to observation. One tells other how they should see something – the something you have vividly demonstrated over the past years…and like the letter on ‘running dogs’.

To the many letters you have written and the wonderful thoughts illustrated by yourself, I enjoyed reading these well crafted illustrations which are generally fascinating and at times startling…. However, this particular piece amongst two or three others I have read, I chose to differ.

Personally, I am not too aware of the plan UMNO intend to articulate and if they do so along your observation, they’d definitely lost it before the battle. I believe be it Malay, Chinese, Indian or other fellow Msians, the past which serves as warden to our irrational move since has little influence on us moving forward and more so those whom (like myself) were born after the regretful 1969. As to the linkage you made your observations to some senior MCAians’ recent commentary, may I suggest those observations shall remain as observation, carries not future truth and the comments were made in isolation.

MCA today has it personal dilemma and to use old tactics to incite unwarranted annoyance will have my first vote of non-confidence. My brief engagement with them recently seemed to provide me the idea of reform and working towards a paradigm shift which hopefully will not be just solving matters behind close door/ quietly but rather address the matter head-on in cabinet, medias,NGos or on appropriate forums. Hardwork aside, unless this suggestion is taken seriously, many more of Petra’ observations will made and broadcasted.

Psy-war or no psy-war will more likely be the last thing MCA will try attempting. To that, I believe the leaders would have focus on many more matters to address unity and more importantly to make available a blueprint strategy to avoid future annihilation. But what appalling to me was your choice of provocation even matter which occurred in isolation and remains only as observation has unwarrantedly drew undesirable damnation.

My apologise if my reply which carries no malice intention offended you but I do hope to see more open mind debates to come.

Redchip, Bangsar Branch

My dad told me that MCA presidents all have corruptions, some are big ones and some are small ones. One way, or another, one president's corruption is another president's meat. So this vicious cycle goes endlessly, like karma. So, MCA is totally a useless party to me now. Don't listen to them. Just ignore their rantings. All Chinese Malaysians, please leave MCA for good. Let MCA rot into oblivion. We all know they are playing racial stuffs and a UMNO running dog. MCA views DOES NOT represent the views of ALL Chinese Malaysians anymore. It is only for the politicians OKT and gang only. Their words do not carry weight. They no longer represent Chinese anymore in Malaysia. The more they talk, the deeper the grave they will dig for themselves. Racial politics is slowly and gradually being erased. The globalization wave will be stronger in next elecion. I think the next election main topic will be about the quality of life of a Malaysian in general, not about how much benefits you can fight from UMNO.

Yes, the whole drama being put up by the MCA stinks to the heavens of what appears to be a shameless attempt to create upheaval and alarm. These BN attention-seekers are such wretched sore losers that even now, more than a month after they got their collective asses so solidly kicked, they are still desperately beating around and around the entire jungle with their brainless schemes.

Their attempts to divert and confuse the rakyat are sooooooooooooo transparent and yet they persist in their foolhardiness. Even I, and my family, who for the longest time were wary of PAS, can see through the shamless attempts of the BN losers to create confusion and uncertainty. PAS has its idealogy, but has openly stated that the Islamic state issue is no longer on the agenda so can those loudmouths please shut up!

Because PAS was brave enough to admit that their agenda needed rethinking and was accordingly rethought to encompass a multi-religious Malaysia, my family and I changed our minds and voted for the opposition with the fullest confidence.

The opposition was voted in by a huge portion of the citizenry and we just want to see the Pakatan Rakyat guys get to work and do some good. God knows we have waited far too long to see some good being done for the benefit of ALL MALAYSIANS!

PAS has a lot to live up to, along with PKR and DAP, but we have to give them the chance to do so. Time will tell if they will live up to their words. After all, if they don’t, then come the next election, the people will once again, exercise the power of the vote.

The people of Malaysia are not the gullible fools they have been thought of for so long. When will these sore losers learn to stop trying to take them for a ride.

We (my non-Muslim & non-Malay friends) openly agree that if the Chinese or Indians were in power the same thing would happen only with a different race. Look at what happened in Sabah when PBS (the opposition) took over. All the govt posts went to their people. They call for interview just as formality and in the end it all went to their guys. Even labourer post went to them! And I bet the same would happen here if PR won the federal seat. It's all about the money lah! Takkan itu pun tak nampak lagi?

I agree with much that has been written about the (un)suitability of MCA leaders to lead the Chinese community. Majority are in the "business" for the money.

I feel, however, that the bigger issue for MCA now is that they are getting to be irrelevant in the context of a multiracial Malaysia today. How does one champion Chinese "rights" without compromising the rights of others? If the leadership sees this anomaly, how do they change? MCA cannot change. Their raison d'etre has evaporated. Hence the headless chicken syndrome. And in trying to avoid looking like a headless chicken, they will raise other irrelevant matters as distraction - a well proven strategy that served well in the past to all sorts of leaders all over the world. It is really up to us as a people to see through this poor smokescreen, and to discuss these matters openly to share our feelings with others who may be lost in the haze.

Hi Wisdom,

The day MCA will drop the word "Chinese" is when UMNO drops "Malay" and replace it with "Malaysian". But then again MCA would then be redundant and would have merged with all the other parties under the umbrella of UMNO - United Malaysian National Organisation.

I don't see it coming anytime soon if the party leadership in BN don't reinvent themselves.

UMNO (Malay), MCA (Chinese) and MIC (Indian) are just a few of those present today that are destined to fade into oblivion…soon. They appear to be fighting the last ditch effort to stay relevant (looks and sounds like clutching onto the last straw). We must stay the course of steering our fellow Malaysians to stay above petty lies (if we believe news/lies on mainstream media, then it is not wrong to classify such news/lies as petty), and mature into a more progressive nation of Malaysian, regardless of race, language or religion. PAS contested 65 seats. How many % is that?
29.279% (sorry can't resist not putting d decimals in...I'm a bit nerdy..haha)

PAS won 23 seats. How many % is that?
10.36%

# of seats needed to obtain 2/3 in the parliament
66.67% - 10.36% = 56.31% = 125 seats

It's barely 10% and PAS needs another 125 seats to amend the constitution. So ppl don't be fooled by false accusations, there is no way that PAS can change the constitution, even with minority votes they only managed 10.36%. Anyway RPK, love you work man...u r d man....

ps. darn...no prizes man....

Beg your pardon Raja Petra, my friend just could not tolerate kids with bad behaviour; please excuse me, his message for:

Dear megahyper,

You seem to suffer from a huge misconception that debate is all about argument; it is not.

Normally the purpose of a 'comment' section is for readers to respond to the blog owner's post. Your challenge to a duel with me is insolent, abusing the owner's indulgence and sadly exposed to all and sundry your serious lack in basic sense of propriety.

Debate with me? Brush up your manners and civility first. Goodbye.

mountainking,

Go brush up your basic understanding of English. You seem to have difficulty with reading. Me stealing taxpayers' money? Back up with facts or get ready for a letter from my lawyer. I give you 2 days.

Malaysiaku,

Do you mean ISA for UMNO, MCA and MIC people is ok and ISA for PAS, PKR, DAP people is not ok? Yourself a hypocrite who support double standards, yes?

megahyper and Victory or Death,

Kids, you be the death of any political party that have the misfortune to have you both on their membership roll because your words speak of unthinkingness and disrespect for human rights. When you shout allegience for a party and shout disrespect for others not of your party, you demean your allegience in the eyes of bystander. You've got to learn to stop hounding or harrassing anybody else for exercising their rights for freedom of association, even if they prefer to go to dodoland if their hearts so desire.

Please be considerate and not make this platform cheap as Raja Petra has a heavy yoke with people like you populating his blog. Please stay silent if debate is not your strength.

P/S: I have my friends from all political allegience and denominations, and I have many whom I can talk politics/debate with no resorting to your type of behaviour

Your comments show no value but only lalang. Multiracial party is also a racial

Pakatan did not win majority in 12th GE. Why are your saying MCA Gerakan MIC is
gone. The winning of 5 states' government is yet to show best or better then BN.
Of course i hope so.
Yet Pakatan to prove they fullfill what have they promised to rakyat. Dont tell
others what to do but help to make your dream(pakatan) come true!!

Wisdom,
We agree PAS has it own agenda. All party has his own agenda.
MCA has the right to stand up for secular state Malaysia by their own initialtive and it is their party agenda from day one.

Find out yourself last week what have media reported on PAS senior members' statement and Harakah news. Have they said something against PAS agenda??????

To bananachinese and all MCA members,

Mark my words.

MCA, Gerakan and MIC is history - GONE!

They are trying to get back some relevance by speaking out. What is in their heart is more important.

The Rakyat have judged their hearts from their 50 years of performance.

The non-Malays have all grown up over the last 50 years. They are no longer so easily taken in by glib tongues.

Wake up members and supporters of MCA,Gerakan and MIC!!!If not, time will pass you by.

MCA, Gerakan and MIC will go the way of the dodo. “

Dear Mr Bananachinese,

1) Tell me Mr Bananachinese , when you addressed me as “kid” , are you using the literal sense?
If you are, what makes you think you are older than me?

2)Tell me also where in my posting have I shouted allegiance to any party?

3) I believe I have , prior to this posting made one response to a posting of yours, correct me if I am wrong.
Tell me then ,how does that constitute harassing and hounding you or the MCA members.

4)Please read my posting again. Is it in any way offensive? It is just an expression of beliefs.
If you consider my posting offensive, tell me then, is it as offensive as labeling my comments as lallang?

5)Tell me Mr Bananachinese in what way have I been inconsiderate?

6) Tell me also, my dear friend,in what way have I made this platform cheap?

7)Tell me too, my dear friend, are you suggesting that I am weak in debate?
And tell me how did you arrive at that conclusion?

smilies/cool.gif Tell me my friend, do I need to invite you to a public face-to face debate with YM Raja Petra as the judge to show you I am otherwise?

9)Tell me my friend again, what topic shall we debate on?

10)Tell me my friend, shall it be on the merits and demerits of the MCA party?

Tell me, tell me my dear friend in a logical manner as in a debate without resorting to false assumptions and derogating my character?

Dear Wisdom above,

In response to your comment
of April 14, 2008 | 02:40:08
To bananachinese and all MCA leaders ,

Will MCA drop the word ' Chinese' & be renamed as 'Malaysian Association' (MA) in the near future ? Dropping of 'Chinese' or renaming of party involves constitution change, therefore will require EGM to get consent of delegates. If approved by delegates so desire and calls for EGM, it will be conducted. Then, next step is to file the request with ROS. The question of renaming remains in the hands of MCA delegates.

Will your party become a multi-racial party in future? Again, it remains in the powers of MCA delegates if MCA delegates wants to become multi-racial. That's why OKT is doing his duty to find out what delegates wants in ro***hows/dialogues. That is duty of President to check with delegates what they want.

'Race based political party' will fade away like an old soldier. Transition is welcomed, but in meantime because of historical establishment and furthermore delegates not pushing yet for change to constitution, the President cannot unilaterally announce this change as he is only able to do this after mandate received by delegates. You will appreciate that the powers of delegates is supreme in this matter. Currently, the party constitution of MCA is the most liberal in Malaysia as it put the Federal Constitution and respect for rights as supreme.

I hope both Chua Jui Meng ,Chua Soi Lek, Ting Chew Peh, are reading this. Maybe. But rest assured that many, many more younger, brighter, liberal minded MCA members share your concerns too. These new blood would be better bets to lead MCA ahead as their mindsets are not encumbered with burden of history and self imposed limitations. See my friend Redchip's comment.

a good post indeed RPK.

i see it differently after the 12th GE altogether.

What the people need is the utmost of all, whatever the struggle cooked-up there is. What failed the controlling govt is the mechanism to reached the common people's need. Worst when the PM himself is not strong enough to apprehend the back-log grievances the people endured all these years.

The people had given the majority trust in 2004 GE to change but to no vail. The power bestowed by the people was not practically enforced due to short-sighted planning to remain in power, and thats a fact. What more to retained members that is considered rotten eggs in the eye of the people.

Whats was practiced is a dismay to the likings of the peoples views. Thats the basic reasons the reps are there so to speak. Manifestos by each component party has yet to be seen logical once they are in office. Why? even after GE, situations are still at a stale mode. From the economic point of views, nothing is moving, investors are monitoring intensely to a wait n see strategy and arent these revenues to the country and jobs to the people?

What comes into the politician minds are the controlling factors. Why is that so? If every transaction is accountable for and being transparents, business is then should be as usual let be whom ever comes to power right?

Let us see the demands that won by the majority, more seats in the parliament, in the federal govt or even in the states. More demands here and there in time to come. ( ya-lah democracy so to speak )

And now for the very reason at stake is for the present controlling party to transfer, to give or to keep and not to let go at all. Worst situation are for us to see is the creations of unrest amongst the people so that whatever at stake will be delayed or not given at all. Especially when comes to monies.

We the people should know whether the funds being channelled back for the benefits of the people or what not in the long run and a big no to sloppy or sub-standard results in terms of public facilities, utilities, amenities etc. They are the ones should go to the gallows FIRST. What angers them most to my opinion is the distributions of wealth amongst close parties. Forget about the commoners like us. Worst still if you are not even registered in their books(as members). Strange thing is, the ratio of the non-members is far more greater than registered members. What went wrong here? ( please dont ever think of socialist agenda here, its just a comparative ratios)

What is mentioned in this article in an eye opener to us all. Dont just forget the kris wielding, the so called justice demands by certain minority group and now the heating up of racial tensions.

I for sure shall never ever want those negative events to ever occurs again. peroid. now, who is going to get them buggers? the fear amongst us people are:

- maybe them people out there are well-connected, timun and durian situations?
- info/report given to trusted enforcement could back-fire?
- mana ada public informer gomen jaga? parlemen sendiri pun reject.
- komplen pun tak guna, komplener selalu subject kena interrogate dulu, a scary mode where nobody wants to be in such a situation.

Dear mountainking,

Appreciate your point of view. Certainly i do not have the concise answers to your matter raised, however, do allow me to be candid to support claims.

"why didn't the deputy home minister (i supposed the previous round from MCA) do something about ISA law. you talk about the right to talk, why not ask your leaders (stupid and corrupted) to challenge ISA, did Dato Lee Hwa Beng challenge the govt on the banning of malay bibles?

[Like what was being discussed of late, the silent protest employed the by the leaders of MCA has certainly gone unnoticed. He would have (i cannot speak for the individual but I presume MCA-ians would have attempted to address the matter numerous times ie. resulted in MCA leading the pack to forward the inter-faith 'whitepaper' to the PM) attempted too. Unfortunately, we bury ourselves for not being vocal enough and chose to resort to silent protest and to border our coalition spirit. Like you may have alluded, MCA is govern by spirit of coalition which i reckoned should be re-examine now and fast in order to provide flexibility to speak while seeking the truth]

"did you speak up for things concerning the national policy?"

[we did. the question raised should perhaps be more pertinent to who the actual mandate holder is - UMNO. We can raise questions and hope to implement the needful policy but it is unfortunate that the last 50 years of no change have resulted in the largest component party having the last say. So what now? The immediate stance is to have flexibilities in-built and re-examine the coalition pack in order to all of us to be relevant]

"did you join the Bersih rally as that's not about race issue but a VERY BIG issue "judiciary"?"
[Physically i was not there. But if you believe me that i wore yellow T shirt on that memorable morning, then i presume it can be considered supporting the movement and motion right?]

"why did MCA voted for another year of extension the EC chairman? wasn't the EC chairman is to ensure victory for MCA but backfired? did you go all out "violently" protest the cancellation of the use of indellible ink?"
[If memory served me correctly, you do noticed that MCA was quiet through out this period as we were more concern of what may be require to assist BN candidates to run their successful campaigns. LIke yourself, we took note of that importance of the means to our campaigns than to dwell on deliberating on the tool itself. We are aware the poor sentiment and undercurrent rakyat has due to partly our silent protest and more so the arrangance of the govt. To that, focus was to ensure the best campaign possible and to help out where possible]

" well, if you did, not only BN going to lose 5 states but will definitely lose more states. did you ever ask your leaders to request for no more "postal votes? if you did not, please go and ask MCA to fix themselves up. i am more than happy to listen to you and mca members for constructive comments/criticisms if MCA has started on the right platform. why only do all these little acts when MCA is reduced to only 15 parliamentary seats? why did MCA ask all their JKKK members to resign and to be re-assign federal JKKK? hey, redchip and mca member..... it is our money that you are using to pay your MCA JKKK. "
"

[well, i wish in life we have all the solutions. Certainly, this election has thought us one important thing besides re-examine our relevancy, be vigilent. For the start, i second Raja Nazrin's call for the live telecasting the parlimentary debates, and cabinet meetings where possible]

Yup orangutan.

These people have blood in their hand. Read Soros reply to mahathir in Bangkok post. While Mahathir rape malaysia dry, MCA kata sokong. We "Kan En" (Kan nin ne). A willing partner in crime. And rakyat is left high and dry.

We have tremendous growth last 2 decade, and the resultant benefit swindled by a small group of you know who. The Malaysian quality of life is still stagnant at 1990. Even Vietnam's standard is now inching near us. Who is the partner in crime?

When Pak Lah spend millions on monsoon cup or najib drive an outdated submarine back to malaysia. They will still live and swim with the coalition. The reason I think is quite obvious.

They emphasise so much on education. But that's where they actually failed so miserably. The quota and RAH-MAN. YUET RAH YUET MAN (pull it as long as possible). Education is a basic human needs. Qualified and "gigih" students are denied tertiary education or left with courses that even Bangladeshi avoid. Well, what they do? They stick with the coalition and say "sokong"!

The thing that make me burst is after all these.....they still want to stand in the moral high ground and lecture you about decency, manners and civility.

Dear Malaysian,

March 8,2008 marked an important milestone for all of us. It is a day where moderate Malaysian stood up and say NO TO RACIAL politiking. It is a message which is loud a clear and don't let anybody to do otherwise.

As long as Malaysia has racial parties, there will be politician championing their own race and in doing so they are likely to offend the other races. We have seen this happened in the past before and how they provoked the general public at large. Similarly, politically parties should also dissociate from religion. Religion is a very sensitive matter. Many countries are still at war mainly because of religion. This has gone in thousand of years. So all politicians, please stay out of religion. To me religion is a very personal and private matter. It is between us and GOD, so everybody else stay out. Everyone is free to practise whatever religion they believe and the others should respect that choice.

While it is easy to blame others, it is not easy to control others especially if those people have ulterior motives. So I would like borrow the famous quotes from JFK's "Ask not what the country can do for you, Ask what you can do for your country". So fellow Malaysian, this is what we should do;

1) Never vote a person or party that represent a race against,
2) Never vote a person or party that preach for a religion,
3) Never vote a person or party that is corrupted,
4) Never vote a person or party that encourage violent,
5) Never vote a person or party that divide us,
6) Vote for a person or party that unite us,
7) Vote for a person or party that do good for this country,
smilies/cool.gif Vote for a person or party that care for peace and safety of fellow Malaysian
9) Vote for a person or party that enrich us.

So fellow Malaysian, since we have started the change, don't let anyone derail us. If we ourselves do not support violent then violent cannot happen. So if there is someone whether they are from the government or opposition parties that attempted to talk racial....it is time for us to tell the person.. SHUTUP. and if he or she don't....make sure we vote them OUT. We are against violent so don't involve in violent act. Use the peaceful way as it is more powerful. March 8 is a testimony to that.

If every corporate is governed by such policy, am very sure many companies would have to fold up. I am happy to hear that you are re-examining it and we rakyat hope that it is not a mere lip service. Badawi has also promised to weed out corruptions but instead, corruptions are still rampant. End of the day, since memory served, they only NATO (no action talk only). I couldn’t care less to debate with them. Until they revert whats wrong or proven they are worth its salt, whats the point of debating with a buncha hypocrites trying to earn brownie point whatever way, civility debate included.

Until some result shown, they can talk to wall for all I care.

Banana wrote:
“Debate with me? Brush up your manners and civility first. Goodbye.”

“Let us pray that these MCA agent provocateurs rot in hell for seven generations. And if anything adverse does happen, let us hang the MCA people from the highest tree and leave their bodies to rot in the sun.”

From the above, Banana is indirectly telling Our YM RPK, you are without civility and they want to show you some civility…..MCA’s way. And they only engage with civil people. But they make exception to you. I am not so lucky….my mild dosage are considered ill-mannered.

But not forgetting at the same, Banana telling that I am…….
“abusing the owner's indulgence and sadly exposed to all and sundry your serious lack in basic sense of propriety.”

See how contradicting MCA “running dog” could be?

At first they only engage with civil people, and indirectly throwing uncivilized label everywhere, including RPK’s way. Still claiming moral high ground, they say I abuse owner’s indulgence and lack of sense of propriety.

Which arrogant prick considered itself so civilized that they use the “civility” label like he trademarked the word? Even YM RPK seems lower stature to them. Who is abusing owner’s indulgence? And who is lack of sense of propriety?

Now this is the civility of MCA

megahyper & Mountain king ,
When I was reading postings by those MCA guys,an episode which I witnessed
suddenly came to my mind. Let me relate.
When Tun Mustapha was Sabah CM (USNO ) he was always surrounded by some Chinese
politicians ( SCA ).
Tun Mustapha was a chain smocker ( Lucky Strike ).
When he took out one cigarette , ten lighted lighters suddenly appeared from
these Chinese hands.
For the life of me,I have no idea why this particular episode came to mind.
Any inputs ?

Dear Raja Petra,

I've checked with Bangsar members and they are more than happy to meet with your members who want to discuss issues with MCA members.

Please could you advise as face to face meeting is prefered.

Thank you.

NB: For virtual discussion, we are now talking to a friend about hosting on his website a real time meeting.

bananachinese, I wouldn't think of a face to face discussion with members especially from you know where. Until and unless members learn to have civil discussion, without being abusive, then it is better to keep talking on the web. Alternative is, meet face to face but everyone tie your hand behind your backs for safety reasons. Mmmmh ... now what about the legs?? smilies/cheesy.gif smilies/cheesy.gif

remember for so many years MCA has held the title of minister for housing. anything done? no right, then why want to create a trouble when the perak govt is helping the villages. stop fanning fire and help the ppl. forcing your councillors to resign?
if they ever resign, please don't come out with federal councillors to oversee the state council work. and take our money to pay them again.

March of 8th 2008. Dont lah turn victory of PR become victory of death.

i wont mark your word, Ahhhhhh.....maybe i can mark your dream!!!!

The denial syndrome appears to be quite infectious recently after BN lost 4 states and 2/3 majority.

Since you chose to equate "my word" with "my dream',I have no quarrels with you.You can choose to call it whatever you like.

However, I will stay in this blog long enough for what I say to be proven without reasonable doubt.

And since you engaged me on this issue, I will consistently repost my "word" or "dream" as you would label it at regular intervals, as a reminder to all and sundry (including yoursef) so that when it is proven without doubt (it won't take long - at most, ,at the next General Elections),we will know whether my word or your "label" is correct.

Unless MCA,Gerakan and MIC leaves BN, they are as good as gone.

MCA will never change and will eventually fail and fall. WHY? I was at wisma MCA a moment ago for a meeting with my clients (not MCA lah but one of the corporate tennant of the building). I was sitting in the ground floor kopitiam having my breakfast with my clients. There, a group of MCA Youth in their uniform as usual was having a chat including one YB Timbalan Menteri (Youth member). It was overheard, all of them condemn Pakatan Rakyat and every one of them also condemn the other group of ex-MCA leaders led by one datuk TB asking for removal of the MCA top leadership. They show absolutely no respect for their ex-leaders and what the other group (anti-OKT) is doing. It was overheard that they are also asking for seats in the next election. The way they talk absolutely very arrogant especially one chap whom the others call Han from KL. If MCA have this kind of Youth members attempting to be leaders of this country, I guess MCA will be called Malaysia Corpse Association in the next election. Even if MCA leaves BN, which they will never do, I would never vote for them because they are not humble and arrogant to the max!!!!

There has been quite a few Press Statement made by MCA recently. Why didn't they do it all this while and why only after GE12? This, no doubt, speaks of their acknowledgement that they have not done enough. Further, I do not believe MCA will be able to live up to rakyat's dream because paying lip service will not do. I would like to see MCA, if they are still relevant, speak up in Cabinet, Parliament and openly condemn whatever wrongs that BN and UMNO has done and not just keep quiet. Maybe is too late but better late than never. If MCA stand by what they said, the President OKT should say it openly and not let proxies do all the barking, ok?

Dear StevenMax,

Thank you for your reporting of the overheard conversation. Boys will be boys (the exuberance of Youth, always care less) Noted and I have channeled your observation to higher level. As long as words/actions are not unlawful, we cannot stop people from expressing their affiliation or thoughts/words. However, you have a point there, we will make effort to info members to take care of utterances but we have no legal rights to curtail their right to expression.

On your remarks on the Press statements, all the while MCA have made them. Its only that newspapers chose not to publish them. You might find it hard to believe, but its a fact that newspapers will not entertain each and every one of press statements from everybody. MCA has to fight for space to send their message on the media too. So far, we have direct complaints from people that MCA has been doing too much of 'longkang' servicing and they want MCA to talk more in the open.

If you look at the Parliament, all MCA MPs submitted their questions as compared with others. MCA have been talking of important national issues, but it has not been picked up by the media. For evidence, you can check the Hansard, it does not lie. MCA has been talking in cabinet to get things done, but cannot revealed to public because cabinet talk is under OSA.

What would you recommend, if you are in President OKT's shoes?

Please, calm down and use them grey cells more. And while trying to exercise control over your mind, do please control your blind hate too. Everybody can see it in words used by you. All the Hidup PR makes dull reading.
But take this statement with an open mind :
Badawi said 'lessen learned and message received.'
How did the BN learn the lesson and receive the message ?
MT commentors used their passion to send the message.
The rakyat converted their hatred for BN into VOTES.
No physical violence is used and no bodily harm done.
Its only in your fertile imagination that words could kill.

Dear bananachinese,

I did not call MCA running dogs.Who did?Read the article above.Answer obvious?

Why should I call Datuk Lee a running dog?

Apparently, from what I read, he was a good politician serving the people well.Well respected too!If DAP has such high respect for him, surely he cannot be that bad!

It seems BN cannot see the big picture. If one can serve the public well, even if the invitation/or appointment was from a party with different ideology, why can't he be allowed to do good for society or the state of Penang for that matter.

Do you wish to call him a running dog? If you do,I won't stop you - go ahead. It will only be counter- productive to your objectives.

You see,if you wish to call someone a running dog,it will only be effective if there is some element of truth in it.If not, it reflects back on the accuser.

Who are the judges? Obviously the Rakyat and those who express their judgement ,and in this case, the bloggers.

Again dear bananachinese,

If BN and Gerakan wants to take disciplinary action against Datuk Lee,they do not see the big picture from a multitude of angles.

For one, they are not looking out for the good of the people of Penang. So how to win back Penang in next GE????

Further, any disciplinary action taken against him will incur the displeasure of the Penang Rakyat. You will probably be able to gauge the reaction of the Rakyat from this blog when it happens.

If Gerakan takes disciplinary action ,it will be like forcing him to leave the party , leaving him without without any option but to join the PR parties.

Lee Kah Choon cannot wear a Gerakan uniform and serving at DAP camp. Just like
