Imagine having two Umno men at the top of the judicial hierarchy, one as AG and the other as CJ. You will be able to literally get away with murder (as if they are not already getting away with it).

NO HOLDS BARRED

Raja Petra Kamarudin

One of the more successful international trading companies is 3M. It is one of 30 companies in the Dow Jones Industrial Average and is also a component of the Standard & Poor's 500 Index. 3M’s sales for 2007 touched US$24.462 billion while its net income was US$4.096 billion.

3M used to be called Minnesota Mining and Minerals before its name was shortened to 3M. They did the same for IBM, LBJ, JFK, etc. Eventually, when all these people or companies became famous, people started referring to them by their initials and no longer by their full names. This is the ‘culture’ in USA, which itself is the initial for the United States of America. Now, of course, a simple US will suffice as everyone knows who you are referring to.

3M’s success is in its training program. It is said to have the best training module for its salesmen and it is also said there is nothing a 3M salesman can’t sell. For example, the salesmen are taught, to successfully close a sale, you must sell to the MAN. MAN here means: Means, Authority and Need. The person making that decision to buy must have the means (money or budget), authority (power to make that decision to buy) and need (they require the item you are trying to sell). If one of these three ingredients is missing then you will never be able to close the sale.

So, if you are a salesman and you want to successfully close that sale, go look for the MAN. Only the person who has the three ingredients of the MAN will make, or be able to make, that decision whether to buy from you or not.

I am not a salesman any longer but in my new line of work I also apply the 3M or MMM principle. My MMM principle is: Money Motivates Man (man as in humankind rather than gender description). Yes, money is the greatest motivator of man. Nevertheless, there are also other motivators; sex and power. However, once you have money, then these others can come easily and naturally.

Ever wondered why wealth, power and sex always seem to come together? In fact, you can exchange one for the other. If you have money you can buy power or if you have power you can make money. And sex can also be used as a ‘commodity’ to ‘sell’ for money and power -- or, if you have money and/or power, you can buy sex easily (and sometimes get it for free if you are an important and powerful political leader).

Some people are puzzled as to why Shafee Abdullah would go to all that trouble to fix Anwar Ibrahim on sodomy charges. He is worth RM70 million, they argue, and certainly he does not need the money -- whatever amount it may be that they have put aside for the special Black Ops against Anwar. And he has enough women in his life so sex can’t be the motivator as well. Okay, so we can rule out money and sex. But what about power? What if he is slated to be the next Attorney-General and whether he gets the job or not depends on how successfully he can neutralise Anwar and remove him as a threat to Umno?

Yes, power sometimes motivates man more than money or sex -- especially when you already have surplus money and sex and you really don’t need any more in your life. And becoming the next AG is certainly a powerful enough post to motivate you and would work well when your other friend from Umno, the current President of the Court of Appeal, goes on to become the next Chief Justice.

Imagine having two Umno men at the top of the judicial hierarchy, one as AG and the other as CJ. You will be able to literally get away with murder (as if they are not already getting away with it). And just like how Britannia used to rule the waves, Umno just needs to wave and rule that your arse gets thrown into prison for the rest of your miserable life and you become history, like Britannia.

The Malays call this suruh kambing jaga sireh (asking the goat to look after the beetle leaves). The two kambing as head of the judiciary and the Attorney-General’s Chambers will ensure that no sireh will be safe.

MMM -- money motivates man. And money can buy plenty of power and sex. Hey, who needs to worry about going to heaven after they have died when they already have heaven here on earth? No, that is not what Islam teaches. That is what Malays masquerading as Muslims practice.

Talking about Islam, read the following piece about swearing on the Quran. It seems Saiful will soon be swearing on the Quran that Anwar sodomised him. That is not Islam. That is Malay. The good Prophet never taught Muslims to swear on the Quran. It is a Malay invention just like how Malays invent many other things about Islam that are not true and totally false.

Finally, Anwar Ibrahim was charged today and was released on personal bond. That was certainly a surprise as I could have sworn (not on the Quran though) he would be denied bail. Anyway, it looks like Anwar will be able to celebrate his birthday this Sunday (10 August 200) at home after all instead of in the Sungai Buloh Prison. Let’s all swarm over to Anwar’s house this Sunday to wish him a happy birthday.

Oh, and one more thing, it appears like that very illusive elusive DNA that the police have unsuccessfully tried to get from Anwar may be no good after all. It seems DNA are no longer regarded as conclusive and, in Australia, 7,000 cases where convictions were secured through DNA are being reviewed.

Well, back to the drawing board I suppose. They will now have to rethink their strategy on how to secure a conviction against Anwar. The DNA route may not be on after all.

Saiful 'wants justice to be carried out'
Bernama, 7 August 2008

KUALA LUMPUR - THE young man who accused Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim of sexual assault said he was thankful that the opposition leader was to be charged for the alleged offence.

His lawyer, Mr Zamri Idrus, said that Mr Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan was grateful because Anwar would finally be brought to court.

'My client has promised that he will give his full cooperation to ensure that justice will be carried out in court,' said Mr Zamri.

Mr Saiful also asked for Malaysians to allow the legal process to run smoothly so the truth would prevail, he added. When asked if Mr Saiful would be present at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court today, Mr Zamri said his client would not be there for safety reasons.

'Saiful does not need to come to court tomorrow and he only needs to come as a witness later,' he said. 'As promised by Saiful, he will swear on the Quran soon, but the date is still being decided on.'

On June 28, Mr Saiful, 23, made a police report accusing Mr Anwar, his former employer, of sodomising him on various occasions, the last being at a condominium unit in Damansara, two days before the report was made.

Courts should be 'cautious' with DNA evidence
The Age, 6 August 2008

Courts must be cautious about the use of DNA technology to make convictions after police admitted they dropped a murder charge because evidence had been contaminated, a civil libertarian says.

Victorian Council for Civil Liberties vice president Michael Pearce said his association had been urging caution about DNA evidence for some time.

"The problem with DNA is that if you get a match the evidence is so strong and compelling it almost guarantees conviction," Mr Pearce said.

He said courts should also demand corroborating evidence to back up the DNA match.

"It's encouraging in this case that police have dropped charges but they should have satisfied themselves in the first place about the strength of the evidence," Mr Pearce said.

"Over the years we have been urging people to be cautious about using DNA."

Murder charges were today withdrawn against Russell John Gesah who was last month charged with the 1984 murders of Margaret Tapp and her daughter Seana in Melbourne.

Police in Victoria are now re-examining every crime solved using DNA after admitting evidence used against Gesah was contaminated.

Deputy Commissioner Simon Overland said 7,000 cases were being reviewed.

The charges were withdrawn after it was discovered DNA evidence implicating Gesah was contaminated in a Victoria Police laboratory in 1999.

P44. Permatang Pauh: Interesting Data
http://www.k-raveendran.blogspot.com/

Since 1982, Anwar Ibrahim was sole proprietor for the P44. Permatang Pauh parliament seat. In 1982 he stand on BN ticket against Zabidi Ali the PAS man. Anwar win with the majority 14,352. In 1986, again PAS man Mohamad Sabu yet Anwar win with reduced majority to 10,479 votes. 1990, Anwar Ibrahim vs Mahfuz Omar and he win with 16,150 votes and in following general election DAP fill their malay candidates, Abdul Rahman Manap. Anwar win with bigger majority 23,515 votes. Unfortunately 1995 election was last election for him.

After his down fall, his wife Dr.Wan Azizah took his place and stand on PKR ticket against BN candidate Dr.Ibrahim Saad. Dr.Wan Azizah win with majority 9,977 votes and in 2004 she win again but slimmer majority 590 votes against Pirdaus Ismail. Then comes the Tsunami, Mac 8 2008, she wins with bigger majority 13,338 against the same BN candidate Pirdaus Ismail.

As part of the Anwar Ibrahim political strategy, Dr.Wan Azizah relinquished her position as P44. Law Maker. In less than 60 days, Election Commission has to conduct the by-election. In one side Anwar Ibrahim and in other side the BN candidate. It will be interesting to do the analysis. P44 has 58,449 voters and the majority were malay voters with 40,563 or 69.4 percent, Chinese 14,320 or 24.5 percent, Indians 3,507 or 6 percent voters and the balance is 59 voters or 0.1 percent from various groups. Voters turn out for last general election was 47,288 (81.8 percent) and 110 votes spoilt which believed was a protest votes from BN members. Under the P44 there are three state seats N10.Seberang Jaya, N11. Permatang Pasir dan N12.Penanti. Out of this three only N10 was won by BN man with very slim majority 533 votes. The other two was won by PAS and PKR each. Later the N.12 Mahomad Fairus Khairuddin was appointed as Penang Deputy Chief Minister I.

Well the data shows so far, P44 belongs to Anwar Ibrahim but then this is the by-election and anything can happen. Although I do expect, he will win but no one shall take for granted. If you want to know who win and who lost then you have to wait for the day.

So for the UMNO men, its not money or sex, they have plenty of both. They want power.

For Saiful, he has none of the three and now having second thoughts about the Koran too. Now the poor guy didn’t really understand the difference & divergence between the charge and his report, didn’t he? The charge also implicated him – if they find Anwar guilty, so is he. So what is he “thankful” about?

So, another thing surfaced; Saiful has no brain too. I am not surprised why he dropped out of university.

Well RPK, what can I say? The BN Govt must be thinking that all Malaysian citizens are idiots. Keep up the fantastic job and we will keep listening. It is so obvious what is happening. There is a major change required on who is going to run the country, definitely not the "sleepy-eyed" Pak-Lah!

I beg to differ from your opinion that it is not the money factor. By international standards and by the Malaysian Ministers standards, RInggit$70 million is loose change. It does NOT buy a private jet with its own pilot and annual maintenance fees. In addition, he will not be able to own several mansions in UK, USA and Australia. He would be able to live like the super rich's extravagant life style. Therefore, once he become the AG or a minister, the flood gates will be opened for several hundred millions. It is the MONEY factor.

RPK,

You must have left sales a long time ago. MAN is correct and where M stands for Means or Money (No money no talk), and A for Authority, and N stands for Needs. For any successful sale to go through, you only need the first 2, Means or Money, and Authority. Needs can be "Created" by an experienced salesman, just as "Evidence" can be created by an experienced policeman or forensics expert !!

You see the similarity ?? The Scumbag A-G, Slimeball IGP, UMNO Stooge Shaft Abdullah (Why is he trying to "shaft" DSAI?? He should go after Abdullah Bodohwi as his name suggests !!), Full-of-Sh*t Sai-fool, are in the creative process of manufacturing evidence ! Power Corrupts, and Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely - Much more addictive and far worse than any drugs known to man !!

With Power, these Lanun can get money and sex, and one hopes a whole load of AIDS, too.

Let us sign the Petition to our King and rid the country of these PESTILENCE !!

The Malays lagged behind other races in many fields of human endeavour for a long time. After the May 13, 1969 racial riots Malays leaders in the country realised that Malays were not in control of their destiny. And in their frenzy to change the status quo, the government introduced many innovative economic policies that gave the Malays favoured status. The intentions of the policies were good and for a while everything went fine. However, along the way some things seemed to have gone awry. It now appears some people become TOO innovative.
For decades, a key agenda of the Malay leadership had been to create as many Malay millionaires as possible in the QUICKEST possibly time. Again, the intentions were good. We now know that many Malays have become millionaires on their own merit. However, there appears to be another route, an incredibly faster one to be filthy rich. Some people call it the GET RICH QUICK route. A better term would be the RIP-OFF route. The Chinese and Indians are ‘good’ but they are no match to the Malay innovative.
This ‘Rip-off’ route/culture was almost unheard of before TDM’s time. That means some thing has happened during TDM’s rule. It was during his time many senior aides in the various ministries, government agencies and government owned businesses, the judiciary, law enforcement agencies saw it fit to rip-off the country of its wealth. Why? Well, the nation’s wealth is public property. It belonged to the country and that means the privileged Malays- the UMNO-Putras who happily helped themselves to the money.
Rip-off -The Lesson:
Ezam Wakaran and Saiful Sodomy, apparently are members of the so called fraternity of Malay student leaders. Members of the fraternity are key to UMNO’s continued survival and therefore, these guys know they are a privileged few and that it was only a matter of strategy to make it rich. Ezam is admittedly brainier than Saiful Sodomy. As soon as he knew his future in PKR was finished he fought his way into UMNO. By the grace of Satan he made it rich. On the other hand, Saiful Sodomy is a dummy - mentally retarded, so he was of no use to UMNO. Fraternity members thought otherwise and persuaded DPM that Saiful Sodomy’s ******* is one hell of a casino paradise. Consequently, DPM gambled and almost won. What DPM and our ******* student leader didn’t know is that DSAI became an accomplished yogi while serving his term in prison. Sure, DPM and Saiful Sodomy can win but only if DSAI will grant it.
Concluson
•The entire cabinet had spent more than a month deliberating on the implication of Saiful Sadomy’s ******* on the political future of the country. It now appears the ruling part’s survival depends on Saiful sodomy’s *******.
•Malaysian doctors were baffled. They had not seen anything like this before. Our doctors sought NASA’s approval to use the Hubble Telescope to see beyond Saiful Sadomy’s ******* and discovered a cosmic wormhole just light years away. The Minister of Home Affairs is very pleased with the cosmic findings.
•The entire judiciary is overwhelmed by the magnitude of the HOLE case. It will be interesting to see how our lawyers, magistrates, top judges, and a host of witnesses will attempt to show the HOLE world how a 60 years old man forced himself on a well-built 23 years old. Malaysia is probably the only country in the world where *******s are gazetted government property.
•This story will sell like hotcakes and the media barons will be laughing all the way to the bank.
•PDRM is planning to shoot a movie – Saiful Sodomy – The *******

The US was also known as "Uncle Sam" at least since the time of the Civil War. There was a Northern attack on a port city - in North Carolina? - led by Ulysses Simpson Grant, and for a while he was called "Uncle Sam" Grant. His demand for unconditional surrender in that offensive also earned him the tag of "Unconditional Surrender" Grant. With such flattering abbreviations, it was perhaps not surprising that he was elected US President soon after the War!

Saiful under instructions from his 'superiors' who is willing to swear by the Quran, or we the 'real' kafirs in Muslims eyes? RPT,
Interesting theory. Money, Power and Women. You explained very well on the part of Shafee Abdullah. I suppose the same can be applied to Badawi and Najib. They are hanging there for power. As for Anwar, I suppose it is for the same reason although most of us have the hope that once he has the power he will change Malaysia for the better. Looking at thing is now, I suppose it would not be a difficult to improve. But we are not looking for minor improvement but a major overhaul.

I am sorry Badawi and Najib. I do not believe BN without major overhaul will be effective. Major overhaul mean change to leadership through free election within party, states and federal, change from racial to multi-racial, purge all corrupted politicians out from BN, change the system of appointment and accountability for CJ, Bank Negara Governor, Securities Commission Chief, AG, IGP and Army Chief. To be fair the problem did not lies only with both of you. It is about almost everyone in BN and the system your promote. Since you are at the top, you are responsible and accountable. You know these days people talk about accountability and responsibility but they do not walk the talk. We believe BN have been given many chances to do good for Malaysia. No doubt you have achieved many but your have failed in many as well.

So we think it is time for both of you to move a side for someone whom we believe could make the different to take over. Believe me, if that someone possibly Anwar or someone within BN apart from both of you did not do anything major enough to satisfice Malaysians after he or she have taken over or made things worst, we the people of Malaysia will bring him or her down. We are prepared to go through over and over again until we get things right. What is it in for us? We want a better and just life for our children and our children's children.

Coming back to the Money, Power and Women. To test your theory Mr. RPT, what is it in for Saiful? He got none of three. I suppose Money would be his motivation. And finally to the golden question. What is it for you Mr RPT?

I do not think you need the money. As for women, you seem to be very contented with your wife. You do not seem to be interested in power although you are having some kind of power without you realising. The power to influence.

So what is it in for you? Maybe there is a forth thing. We do it for our children and our children's children.

In the annals of chinese history many an empire had fallen because of a woman.
So, sex is indeed a very powerful motivator.
But, I'll agree with RPK's analysis that power is what moves this devil call Shafee.
Him as AG and another UMNOputra as CJ - why not? I think for all intents and purposes this had been the situation in our country since the sacking of Tun Salleh Abbas.

Yes...survival of the species, a very primal drive. AAB is fighting for his own survival, also a powerful motivator. He's unaware, however, that his actions thus far have served precisely the opposite. Years ago, there was a cigarette brand called Abdullah37. That number - 37 - appears to fit this PM well, if it stands for IQ.

I think if Endon is alive he would've been better advised.

Regarding DNA: a lot of people have a very poor understanding of probability ("kebarangkalian" in Form 5 add Maths). They think that if a certain DNA marker shows up in 1 out of 1000 people, and a person suspected of a crime has that marker, that means that there is a 99.9% chance that he is the guilty fella.

But, to calculate correctly, we have to take into account that there are 25,000,000 people in the country. Therefore the DNA marker with a frequency of 1/1000 will occur in 25,000 people.

Therefore, if the prosecution only has the DNA evidence to back them up, that means that the actual probability that this suspect is the criminal is only 1/25,000 or 0.004%!

This is why not knowing enough maths can have terrible implications for society. (this type of calculation is called Bayes Law and it's TERRIBLE that they don't teach kids in school this because it's very very important.)

I would like to add on the emphasis on the use of DNA in a trial.

DNA, as with other evidence should only be used in context of the case. DNA itself should not be the magic bullet to decide on the verdict.

Thus any DNA found at the scene should tally with the other evidence such as the presence of the DNA's owner at the scene verified by witnesses or surveillance recordings. Who knows that the person was present but not at the time of the alleged crime.

DNA has been hailed as an important tool in crime fighting and it got to a point where DNA evidence became the key evidence in the case due to it's high accuracy of over 99.5% that they can pinpoint the person whose DNA they picked up. This made DNA a very powerful tool indeed but there are drawbacks to over-relying on a single evidence as noted in the Australian case above and also in an interesting case I watched on tv concerning parental support.

This case happened in the USA where a parent seeking state support needed to have DNA verification of the child. In this case a child was found to have different DNA markers than his mother though he has the DNA markers from his father. Thus the woman was denied support and was charged with fraud regardless of whatever other testimonies given as to the health workers that supported them. But the truth came out later as the woman has a rare case of chimerism where she carries more than one DNA make up (read genetic chimera for more info). This case highlights the over-reliance on DNA evidence which is dangerous.

DNA evidence should always be used in context of the case and it can be rebutted to cast great doubt on it's significance. DNA alone should not lead to the verdict. DNA most of the time do not tell you that a crime occurred. It just gives you a piece for the court to place it in the big picture.
