By Dato' Man This morning, Wednesday, 27 August 2008, I received an SMS saying this : "TMNet blocking MT. Need to get in via mt.harapanmalaysia.com". So I had to type it in to access MT. If true it simply shows that the BN is becoming more brain dead than before. They are beginning to behave erratically in panic, clutching at straws. |

The big wigs have left, the press have pulled out and returned to their more routine reporting, the party workers have gone back to their more regular daily routines. “Reformasi, Reformasi….” these are the rousing battle cries at the ceramahs given by Anwar Ibrahim since the March/08 election and at the Permatang Pauh by-election campaigns, they are more jam-packed and impassioned than its emergence 10 years ago. |

I refer to the letter Understanding the bumiputera's position 2008.
It's sad that after almost 40 years of affirmative policy for the bumiputera population of this country, it seems that the overall progress of the bumis in the areas of education and eradication of poverty is still far from satisfactory. Time and time again we see many Malay leaders and intellectuals express their concern in their various writings and opinions in the mainstream media as well as the Internet. |

We are residing in Bahrain since 2004. This year, towards the election date, my husband approached the Malaysian Embassy personnel and asked about the procedure to cast his vote by post. To our surprised we were told: "oh, the postal votes are reserved just for the public servants and Malaysian students study overseas. Other eligible voters will have to go back to Malaysia and cast their votes from their respective constituency" what kind of joke is that? |
